David Cameron looking to ban gay kisses...

So by your logic, its only a matter of time before we find out that being gay is normal.

So what you are saying that there is a gay Gene that scientist can identify from you dna ?

Being gay is normal in the sense that there is nothing wrong with it, but it is not common.

Sexuality is at least partially dependent on genetics. There is not a gay gene, but there is thought to be a series of hundreds, perhaps thousands of genes that have different variations (alleles). In certain combinations, the alleles will give a 'possitive' phenotype (attribute) that will make you sexually succesful in some regard. However, the same allels of genes in the 'wrong' combination make you more likely to express a gay phenotype (that is, to be gay). How you turn out is ultimately down to your environment, your upbringing, other psychological factors and the genetics described above.

The specifics of the 'gay genes' are mostly a mystery, we can barely speculate more than three genes that work in tandem to create a phenotype, let alone hundreds. However, there is some evidence to suggest that they reside on the Y chromosome, perhaps explaining to some extent why there are more gay men than women.

But all of this is besides the point, gay people kissing really shouldn't bother you that much. I don't like watching gay men kiss, but it's a reality and it's fine. It's nothing to protect children from because there is nothing wrong with being gay.

I love the anti-gays in this thread with their "facts" (read: opinion) and how they avoid, almost as if it was never posted, hurfdurf's link to peer reviewed papers blasting their "facts" into oblivion.

But the bible says...

Half measures from the government as usual. Ban television and ban homosexual behaviour...that would be better.

I can almost guarantee that men react in a far more unnerved manner to 2 men kissing than women do to 2 women.

Pretty much every woman I know has had the snog with a femme mate, something that no guys I know could say apart from the gay ones.

Girls don't care as much as the understand that it has no impact or effect on their own sexuality, whereas many guys are freaked out by it for some unknown reason.

Sounds like you want to kiss men.

I honestly have NO want to kiss a bloke whatsoever. I even find it hard to grasp why women fancy men at all.

Banning you and your fellow mouthbreathers would be a better idea... ;)

You clearly haven't seen my penis.

It's pretty good.

Mines better... Even straight men want some of what I'm packing.

Torchwood and True Blood...

Neighbours...

Best lesbian kiss is in Deep Space 9 when Dax kisses Dax.

I am only gay because so many men wanted my penis.

Mine's also been posted on this very forum. Can you say that about any of yours? Mine's an OcUK celebrity.

"Normal".

What the hell is "normal" anyway? People seem to confuse "normal" for being "right" or "correct" and anything that isn't "normal" is "wrong", "unnatural", when it fact that's hardly the case.

Two gay men who want to have a baby is the very definition of unnatural.

We don't even know what effect it would have on a child to be raised that way. But there's enough gay couples doing it these days so we'll have the data soon enough...

Would most likely be hell for the kid throughout high-school tho :(

I suppose the more that do it, the commoner it becomes and the less aggro the kids will dish out. I went to school as part of a divorced family and that was uncomfortable at the time. Now it seems like it's almost the majority. :D

An infertile couple wanting IVF is the very definition of unnatural, I am guessing you want that stopping too?

I thought studies done so far have shown that it tends to be quite a positive social environment for the kids?

Would most likely be hell for the kid throughout high-school tho :(

But where does the problem lie? With the fact that the kids parents are gay or the fact that other kids are taught to be intolerant?
