DayMare 1998 - Resident Evil

Failed kickstarter money gets refunded to those that tried to back the kickstarter.
Yeah, I was thinking, this guy is a bit out of the loop :p

Money never even came out of my account in the first place. It only comes out once the kickstarter campaign is a successful :)

Fair game.

I'm sure there have been cases where you pledge and don't always get your money back? Or is that on other things and not kickstarter?

I have kickstarted a number of projects :

1)Grim Dawn
2)Bards Tale IV
3)Wasteland 2
4)Divinity Original 2 (Both of them)
5)Torment Tides of Numenera
6)Ultima Underworld remake (cant remember its new title)

The money never gets charged until the project is successful, I have tried to back a few failed projects and I did not get charged because it didnt reach its 'target'.

Looks like this got delayed by 6 months or so. Current official release date is Q2 this year, I wonder if it had anything to do with Resident Evil 2’s release date? Here is the steam page:

Looking forward to this, it has a lot of potential. Hope they don’t screw it up. If good reviews, I will support them and buy it day one.

Here is a new video and statement released on 12 December:

Hello agents,

We’ve mentioned “something special” some time ago to all of you regarding DAYMARE: 1998 – and it’s a publisher!
The great news is that we’ve teamed up with Destructive Creations, the guys behind Ancestors Legacy, and they will be publishing “DAYMARE: 1998” as well as putting their resources into it, working on some animations, cutscenes and various other parts of the game to make sure it’s well polished for its release in Q2 2019!
Be ready to get back to the roots of survival horror! We’re really excited about this cooperation that will take our “baby” to the next level. Expect more info going your way regularly from now on!
DAYMARE: 1998 is a third-person survival horror with hardcore survival mechanics and hard to kill enemies. It requires a strategical approach to combat and puzzles and offers a multi-character point of view on the story, revealing a deep and obscure lore.

The scene is set with a secret research facility, a deadly chemical weapon and three people who play crucial roles in finding the truth about an incident with the potential to become much more than just a security breach. Follow the steps of an elite soldier, a helicopter pilot and a forest ranger, as they play out their roles in an event that transforms one peaceful small town into a deadly zone and its citizens into bloodthirsty monsters. Take the creatures down first, before looking for any clues and evidence to bring more sense to the mess. Keep track of your itinerary, as resources are scarce in a situation like this! Anything can happen when your daymares become real…

Watched some of it. Not bad. Not exactly what I would have done with the script or characters, but cannot complain. They have done very well for a 10 person dev team. Will likely be buying it day 1 to support them.

I like more the look of this from the OP:

This does look great for a game created by 10 folk, but could they not have spent 10 minutes together and come up with a better name than "DAYMARE 1998"?
