***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

Desolation is worth checking out if you have Arma 3, it has been going through some issues with servers lately, but things are on the up again.

Had a few heart pumping moments, reminiscent of early DayZ.
 
I’m personally waiting for the retail version or as close to it. Not interested playing a Beta/Alpha to experience my first Dayz experience. I want it to be the best it can be and not be frustrated by issues. Big changes for 0.60 all the same.

Same with Elite D I backed it on KS but not played my copy yet, it just gets better and better and after a year its a lot more solid and interesting than it was at release. The minute a proper VR is released it will get interesting with PC gaming.

Yeah i know see those - but in the mod section there are red ones - even though i have the mods up to date etc.

I joined one and it all loaded then the game crashed - trying to validate the game now and shall try again.

:(

Its such a ball ache to play arma 3 with mods
 
It can be much easier, I downloaded it all through Steam Workshop, it downloaded the main mod and all the others once I opened the arma loader :)

same here, just can't get into a game for one reason or another - i'll delete all the mods and try again at the weekend.

The game works as i've just been playing altis life.
 
Just have a check in the launcher that all the mods have been downloaded, if they're showing as red in the server screen that will mean they're not downloaded or they're not been launched with the game :)

even the DLC like Karts show as red sometimes so not sure what the issue is
 
Now i get the following error :(

Warning: preNLOD format in object ca\buildings\misc\plot_istan1_rovny_gate.p3d

I've tried verifying the game cache, it completes but then wont let me start the game without exiting steam and doesn't fix the above error.

Going to uninstall the game and all the add-ons and try again.

Anyone get the latest Experiment Build working? The one with the performance improvements DX11 etc

It loads the game fine, loads the servers fine, but just says " Connection Failed " on EVERY test server, when it's not full. Even tried at 21 as it was filling up, same thing :o
 
there is only a handful of servers up. so you will either get in or you wont.

connection failed is just you didn't get in.someone else did.

best thing is streamers and youtubers got a passworded server :D

But that's the thing, the same server that was 21, said 35 after my " Connection failed " :(
