Need to give this mode a try, my worry is most US servers I play seem to lag so bad so I can't really do combat well!

Trying to get back into DayZ at the moment!
Struggling to find the right server though
I last played when it was a mod and think I played briefly when the standalone was first released, and sadly now I'm old and boring I no longer have the time to properly sink into it.
I think my ideal server would be a PvE server, with PvP zones, and with some interesting mods (traders etc.).
Anyone know of anything like that? Or what servers are you guys playing on?

There's Cherno, Livonia and Namelsk!
Events, Traders, plenty of loot without being excessive, group up system, full automap etc
I play nearly every night on Aftermath Livonia EU 2

Going to give Deer Isle Explorers a try this evening for full PvE experience, works been stressful lately so I kind of just feel like looting and building without worrying about other players for a bit
I see there is "safezones" on DayZ Aftermath, are these just around the traders etc. or is the map mostly safezones with dedicated PvP areas?
Anyone playing DayZ currently? Me and my mate are looking for a third on DayZ aftermath ( cherno or livonia ). Play it most nights ( not every night ), and not interested in building bases. Just looting and PVPing

I'm on a few nights a week at the moment on Northmens Vanilla, just got single tapped headshot at one of the far North West military zones after my best run yet and my body despawned before I could get back to it

I love/have loved DayZ but I don't really see the point in this new DLC

Livonia DLC map was £12 on release.. Sakhal DLC is £23 on release and not even two thirds the size of Livonia.
As for the streamer event that let streamers play it for 2 weeks before the release and then they get the Sakhal DLC for free afaik.. thats just BS.
Long time userbase treated badly here, they should have just done Early Access for however long it would take for stability testing and made EVERYONE pay the same price for Early Access, at a discounted price.
They called it some promotion while testing this 10 year old game.. I think everybody knows what DayZ is by now.
So those streamers have a heads up on all the choke points, better loot spawns etc etc
Bohemia Interactive are on a similar level to AMD's marketing team LoL
For me they're asking too much for it, I'll wait for a sale, plenty of modded maps to play on that have the added snow effects and all the 1.26 updates.

Deer Isle = 256 km²
Rostow = 196 km²
Takistan = 164 km²
Esseker = 156 km²
Bitterroot = 155 km² (?)
