Dayz Standalone - BETA

Install DZSALauncher then choose your poison. For servers with traders etc (ie easy mode!) I use Sunnyvale servers, they have a good discord / ticket system for support.

For 'hard mode' search for 'nomod' or similar. I think people usually stay away from servers accessed via Dayz rather then DZSALauncher due to hackers on 'official servers'.
 
I’ve not played DayZ since it was a mod and after 4K hours on Tarkov I feel like I want to try DayZ…. What’s it like these days?

I've played it for a few hours on a modded server and it was pretty okay but the server I'm on has traders which I would prefer it not to have so am on the lookout for another one. But it was the same old DayZ, run a lot, eat drink and loot and maybe do some KoS'ing

The server is called DayZ Rearmed I think.
 
Just started playing this and am loving it. Mainly due to FPS games being so terrible and GPU prices off the charts but thought I would try something a bit left field. Yes it is a bit buggy but the core gameplay is there.

Met up with a guy the other day during night. He couldn't find any food and basically said to me I am about to die. If you have food give it to me or kill me. One swoop with my machette and he was gone. Lucky for me I cut him up and cooked him but I forgot to wash my hands so died as well in the end!

It is a steep learning curve but with good results once you start to learn.
 
Been playing DayZ again, and I've been looking for months to find a server that isn't packed full of mods!

And #1 JameZ server with high loot and no mods fit's perfectly! Great laugh with all the survivors running about :D

Spaggies is what I play on which is pretty much Vanilla. Have been playing a lot of Namalsk recently as well. Proper tough compared to Vanilla. It also brings out the worst in people as resources are scarce!

Bah I had my char with Night Vision, SVD, FAL and AUX. I was too scared to use him. Was going to wait till final day before patch to have some fun :P. At least I can start again now.
