" E3 really throws a spanner in the works for us, I doubt we're going to be able to set a date before E3 itself.

But todays milestone is a huge one, one that we have been awaiting since November last year. It means our base architecture is finished "

No one announces anything before E3 game wises so it was pretty unlikely of any major info in the next 2 weeks.

Few people going from work so might ask them to get pics or anything at all grrrrrrr.

you wouldn't release all your info when you going to the biggest games event of the year. that's why you go there and you need new interesting info to tell people.

as said months ago i think well be playing the alpha in june as soon as hes back from e3 . they also need a mass server load testing .

Very much looking forward to Dayz. Hope it is priced well and out soon for some zombie action.

I've been watching Frankie's videos and it just looks awesome.

Months ago you were saying it'd be before April.
 
yes as i said previously it was because they couldn't get the serverside done for april and rocket was going away april 1st for everest :rolleyes: rocket has confirmed this himself .

since april i said it would be june when i was told it would be june . have we really got to start arguing about this and descend the dayz thread into more bs as usual.


hoping the pricing starts at as low as 9.99 myself as i need to buy a few copies :D

Lol DG, you weren't told! I actually know people who are in closed ALPHA who were personally given keys by Matt, not even they've been "told".

Its unsubstantiated comments like that which wind people up and lets face it have been the cause of I’d say 99.9% of the drama!

If and I say IF you were telling the truth why would you:

A) Be allowed to admit to making the video’s
B) Be the only person this “so called dev” has told about release dates. Like I said I actually do know people in the testing who have been giving interview times with Matt (which as far as I know you haven’t) for their youtube channel, who of which have still not been given a time scale!
c) Brake NDA (publically) on admitting to being in ALPHA!

Just please please tone down the total arrogance and “look at me” BS… Winds me up. Other members have been banned for lying i cant how you are any different.

Its at the point now where i actually want to be involved in the SA chat, but cant handle the constant stream of utter **** that you post, so avoide this thread as do a signicificant amount of other members!! No doubt i'l get banned for this comment but its what everyone still thinks... we're being punished for your dilutional personality and character!!!

Agrrr i know...... I've tried and tried to ignore..... I just want to be able to chat without every 3 -5th post "DG: I've done that, much better than you aswel"... New guys to this thread will listen to what he says and take it as fact, when its totally not.

How can he be allowed to post apparently factual information without a shread of evidence and still be allowed to post is beyond me. Ah well see you 7 - 14 days :(

simple fact is ask your friends or even rocket

the standalone release was meant for december they couldn't manage what the wanted and had new ideas and wanted other features added so this was the first dead line which was missed but it was a supposed release date. rocket confirmed this and has commented on this

april deadline

this was a deadline which basically most of it was done for then but serverside wasn't completed or stable enough for public release also rocket was going everest. also commented on by rocket

june is and has been confirmed the release date for public alpha as it ties in with e3 hype 11th june -13th june and you always have to have big hype around your project also he has confirmed the serverside is stable and there is a test today.

so you probably will be playing for end of june im thinking it will be 9.99 for early access. i guess well see. if you pay in early it is cheaper for being a early adopter.
 
I do see your point, and I do actually agree. Although I'm not going to jump on the hate band wagon as DG does post links to info and stuff from time to time that I'd otherwise miss. However I will take the " I've made videos " etc claims with a pinch of salt - maybe it is the truth, but I do doubt it.

Just here to talk about the SA - hope everyone can keep it on track or we won't be aloud another thread!
 
i only wanted to talk about standalone it was others who tried the usual dg bait to get me to respond.

just look at goons responses in the warz thread just a poor troll artist.

13 days till e3 that's all im focusing on now.
 
Look DG just do us all a favour. Change your terminology a bit then people wont feel like banging their head into the desk, try things like:

SAY: "I've got a gut feeling this will be out by end of June"
NOT: "Being the amazing and all knowing legend and main man i am, the main dev's at dayz told your lord protector aka me that release will be in June. So if i say it ITS FACT!!!"


SAY: "I've done a few video's for various people"
NOT: "My video's are so amazing that HBO have personally asked me to run the entire company and rename it to DGBO" <--- lol

SAY:"No i'm not in ALPHA testing, wish i was"
NOT: "YEah ofc i'm in ALPHA i am after all it is the worlds great DG we talking about here, who owns the most viewed forums in the world dgeesiogaming.com

SAY:"I try my best with my youtube video's"
NOT: "End of the day if posted a blank screen with music of me taking a dump it still would have 1billion hits because i made it and its legendary

So yeah just tone it down please mate, respect that not everyone wants to see the Dayz DG show!

I have been playing the mod since week 2 of its initial release and have followed the development of the game with feverish interest. With over 5000 hours invested in the mod, to say i am looking forward to standalone would be a massive understatement.

The December delay was a disappointment but at that point they were looking at improving the mod and releasing at as was...ie an arma 2 mod. The delay has come in from designing the new architecture for dayz specifically and not adapting it to suit arma 2.

As i check the dayz news daily, i think its safe to say it wont be long now and e3 might even be used to announce a release date shortly after the expo. Here's hoping, dayz has been the biggest innovation in gaming for a long time IMO and i cant wait.
