Very good work when you consider we were in 28th less than a year ago, but I agree 10th is going to be very difficult, so is hanging on to 11th TBH, we could do with more people on board.
QMC has been removed, and Asteroids@home introduction is imminent. I've got my abacus out and have worked out that Asteroids will be worth 31.15 pts per position, we're in 57th ... SetiG, EVGA and Anantech are in 6th, 29th and 46th respectively. Asteroids will give us 8255 vault pts making it our worst scoring boinc vault project so definitely one to go for.
Just CPU, runs on windows and linux, It's been running quite smoothly on my windows machine, run time per WU for my moderately overclocked 3570K is around 1.15mins, I'd guess a couple of hours for a 3770k hyperthreaded, though the time does vary between WUs and each completed WU is worth a flat 120pts.
.. and they have badges too, that rock with the C on it that's in my sig is one
I've got my 3570K on it, also I've set up a challenge over at BoincStats, but it wont be for another month, I'll give a shout out in the main forum nearer the time.
Anyone know how to get Roestta PPD up? Seems very low output compared to F@H. It seems to run single threaded WUs, so it has 4 on the go at the same time for me, but after like 2-3 days I've only accumulated around 4k points compared to around 20-30k from F@H.
BOINC is a separate platform to F@H. PPD from the two systems will not correlate.
In theory any BOINC project rewards points at similar levels to another, but even then I see a lot of apparent differences. Rosetta, at least on my borged i5 PC seems to be one of the higher earning BOINC projects especially when compared to seti and einstein.
Read through the thread and i'd like to help if I can, i've got 4 Dell Poweredge CS23-SH machines with 2 Xeon L5410's in each (32 cores total) is there any CPU project I could run off the list. Currently they are running Seti which I fancy a break from and for whatever reason FAH isn't working.
I know there has been a lot of talk of asteroids stuff, but in practice it's not on a list so crunching it at the moment won't help our cause in this particular ranking system.
I see we've suddenly slipped in the DCvault ranking by a couple of places Whatever you choose makes a difference either by raising a us on a lowly ranked project or helping us to maintain status on high ranked stuff.
We've dropped 3 places because Engima@home has been added back to the vault, we haven't been able to crunch that project in the past because it never had any work, hence why it was removed and why we are ranked so low.
@Boycie, welcome aboard, and thanks, for now I'd say go for Engima@home as it's now our worst scoring vault project.
Here's a list of all the projects, with our lowest scorest ones at the top, the ones with the little black and orange chip icon are CPU, but if they have a nvidia or Ati icon as well generally that project will be more productive using a GPU, and some of them are non boinc (those without the boinc icon)
