I saw enigma was back this morning so i switched my 3770k onto it for a bit

We got another chunk of places last night. Closing on 13th.

At least it gives us something to work on... getting back to 11th will be fun. 10th is almost impossible.

On a plus not i have done 8 WUs on my phone so far for Enigma. If you dont have NativeBoinc installed on your android then your a slacker ;-)

What are some good projects to run on Android in terms of output? I know none will be blazing fast but I imagine some just aren't worth running.

According to this : http://www.dc-vault.com/showteam.php?team=57 we are somewhat slacking for World Community Grid

But is the right OcUK team listed?

There are potentially three OcUK type teams : http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/t...&searchValue=OcUK&typeFilter=0&countryFilter=

If the incorrect team is listed, how can it be changed, and just as importantly, those crunching in the wrong team need to change.

Enigma is the first I have found with reasonable completion times. Milkeyway takes over a day and so did prime grid when I tried. They are being updated all the time though as it grows in popularity. There not that rapid but its another one untapped resource.

Still a bit amazed how powerful phones are getting. Its not that many years since a quad core PC was top of the range.

Like you say, phones may not exactly tear through the work, but it's a huge untapped resource when you consider just how many phones there are!

The wrong team is listed on our Vault page (OCUK) but even though it's inactive, it is currently ranked higher than our active one "OcUK Overclockers UK" but not by much, OCUK are in 1170, OcUK - Overclockers UK are in 1205, as soon as we overtake ourselves :rolleyes:

The vault server should pick this up, and then list the correct one.

That is annoying. I don't think there is any way to merge teams under BOINC. Credit crunched with a team stays there when you leave or disband the team. Even if everyone moved to one team the credit wouldn't follow.

Yup. And i think theres still lots more point to get from Enigma (if the work holds up). Still keeping one rig on OGR-27 though as that still has a lot to offer too, although much more slowly.

Who knows what will happen when Asteroids gets added. Still, its better than doing real work.

I have three boinc accounts for some reason. It's a bit irritating not being able to merge them though they are all linked to OcUK. I should find an equivalent NZ site really but I like it here :-)

We are doing well on Enigma now. currently 19th on RAC (probably 12th if we keep it up). There are still plenty of places to make up but the question is how far its worth pursuing before switching to something else?

Could probably use some help on OGR-27 we are close to moving up a few places but we got knocked back by a fast mover.

I suppose when we give a lot of effort for very little gain, but as you said there are still plenty of places to make up.

I issued an Asteroids challenge at Boinc stats, that starts in 10 days so I'll be switching over to do that, after it's finished I'll join you, and I should have another 3770k by then all being well :cool:

Ahh, will have to jump in on that too. Will drop everything else for a bit. Lets just hope they add it to the Vault soon too.

Might need to work harder so i can justify getting a few more Boxes in our DC. Don't like using my own power but if its Company money then its OK by me :-)
