I've switched all my GPUs from Folding over to GPUGRID and am climbing the ranks rapidly now that I've got it all up and running well. I switched the 2 690s over about 10 days ago. Had a few little issues and lost production for a day or 2 but all going well now. Switched the 2 670s over last night. I switched because I was getting a bit bored with Folding and wanted to try something different. I chose GPUGRID because I prefer medical type projects and this was about the only one I could find for GPUS - turns out it's very lucrative in terms of cobblestones. With the 2 670s added, I should be pushing 2 million a day at full tilt.

There isn't much activity in our GPUGRID team at the moment - looks like it's just me and MGP active - which means I'm top of the team on RAC :D

I'm also running Rosetta on the CPUs in the SR-2. I'm currently 2nd in the team for RAC in that project - just behind BaBa at the moment.

Hopefully all this will be of some benefit to the team :)

Your output in GPU Grid is a little bit stunning. I don't think you even had time to stick out a foot and nudge me as you whistled by. I've only got a borged lowly GT 640 doing that and a bit of Einstein so am glad someone else has shown a bit of interest. It was getting lonely in there by myself.

I had no idea it was such a high scoring project until I'd started it. I was quite surprised. Sorry about the lack of a parp but it kinda took me by surprise.

I might stick an oar in too, once I have stomped ozaudio :) looks like there is some vault points to be had there.

I have stopped simap as the easy stomps have been done, another 90 days till the next one.

That'd be good, be nice to have more company - as MGP says, it's a bit lonely and there's loads of cobblestones to be had. Should help the vault score.

Hey guys, I can't run GPU Grid on my laptop it doesn't support my 310M gpu. I'll be back in the UK again a week on Friday and will be looking to do my new build and get it up and running. I'll get the x2 gtx 680's on straight away on my current rig.
Think I'm gonna go for dual 780ti's to go along with my 4930k, unless anyone has a better suggestion for dual cards???

Also here is my noob question, what are cobblestones?

Topped 15 million in GPUGRID this morning and RAC a little over 1 million and rising. Getting about 2 million cobblestones a day with both rigs running at the moment.

Also, should turn 100,000 today and closing in on BaBa for top RAC in the team in Rosetta.

Been a while since I did any BOINC projects - this is fun :D

Yay, we made it to 10th well done everyone :)

I've been having a bit of a nightmare lately. My main cruncher had a bit of a fit and kept crashing. I decided it was one of the graphics cards so removed it. Sounds simple enough but with it being a watercooled system which had been going for about 18 months this ended up taking 3 days as I had a number of leaks when putting it back together. I couldn't work it out to start with but it turns out most of the tubing had expanded significantly so even with zip ties on the barbs it was still leaking in places. Replaced all the tubing and its fine now :)

Looks like there is an updated BOINC client

The only change seems to be a small fix for a bug in one specific project. Think I'll put off updating until the next significant release.

Depends on your perspective. A lot of us are getting somewhat trampled.

Fair point. From my perspective, it's fun. I dare say it's less fun for the stompees.

I feel your pain my friend. I recently destroyed two GTX670s when a hose popped off one night. I went to Screwfix the next day and bought a load of Jubilee clips.

That's a shame, but on the other hand I don't think I could have handled the shock of two fast movers in there. As it is Stan is going to get the number 1 slot, from a standing start, in less than a month  The only deterrent would be LoudBob who's is being a bit quietbob in GPUGrid, but not elsewhere.
