I was hoping you'd post. Can he be beated down? I've noticed he isn't shifiting a lot of the SC 1.6's and business might be bad :p Would he bodge any rust repairs?

When i was shopping for the 5 i went in a few times to look at his stock, i could only knock him down a few 100 per car, he wouldn't really move on prices and that was cash in hand.

Looking at his current stock he hasn't really sold anything for a while, this seems to be the case with him, he never seems to sell much, perhaps 1 or two cars a month!

Wouldn't trust him to fix a rust repair, he only has service ramps (x2) and doesn't have enough space to lay up a car to fix some rust then paint. I think in this case he sends you to a friend...

Sorry that was intended as a general guideline I know if you do serious work thats not always an option. How much is LR stuff nowadays.

It's the exact same stuff as the Honda MTF supposedly, and the price can vary quite a lot between dealers/garages so need to ring around to get the best deal.

Mine was done by the previous owner last September so I'm good for a while.

(just checked my big book of receipts, he paid £70 for the change, all-in at Brindley Honda)

I know, same as Rover MTF aswell. They have released a MTF3 somewhere though I dunno how that differs from 2 which is the same as unipart MTF94.

sorry to dig this thread back up

but do any of you guys have a really terrible horn? my horn honestly sounds like it's from a moped..

I own a UK DC2, and a lot of good stuff written in this thread.

Back to tyres: I ran on the RE010 for 7k miles (195/55/15), then I changed to the RS2 in 205/50/15. The RS2 is a better tyre then the RE010, more grip in all conditions, and it's more stable at high speed, I would never go back to RE010, really! RS2 feels more 'proper', where as the RE010 feels nothing special by todays standards.

Once you fit RS2 however, due to grip it exposes flex/roll. The car looses some of it's dynamics as extra grip it rolls more. To counter this I fitted the OEM tower brace, and a H-brace (4 point front lower), and these tightened the car, and returned the dynamics back to standard. When things do slide car is going faster on RS2 then it was on RE010, however the way it behaves is like the stock car (no extra braces) on RE010 - hope that makes sence..

Had lots of tyres 2 generations of F1 / Potenza S03 / various Michelins and Pirelli, RS2 is best so far.

they seem to like Silkolene Pro S which is about a £55 a gallon,

I expect the more expensive oils are better however it's law of deminishing returns.

I'm running, wait for it.. 5w30 Vauxhall fully synthetic (get on trade) on my Honda. It's a oil made by Fuchs and very good stuff.. That good Oilman was offering it in one of his service packs for the Integra under it's original name.

You can use any good 10w40 semi also.

doesn't need it's own thread..

but I've made a pack for Tomtom One, lets you use the car icons, and change the first splash screen. I've posted it on itr-dc2, but you'll need an account to see it, so here goes..

What I've done is replace the splash logo and added a car (to replace the arrow)

Sorry for the poor quality examples of the pictures.. They look good in real life
