DCS:- Black Shark 2

You seriously wonder why your posts are being deleted?

You're not trolling, you're flat out insulting people, and bloody good people at that, because you don't like the fact that YOUR expectations have not been met.

You're really surprised that mods remove posts insulting the ED/TFC team from their own forums?

They have the right to respond and were I to be incorrect, then surely a response would not go amiss to correct me about any misinformation I may have?

Regardless of if I am a douche or not, any reasonable man is capable of responding to critique to represent the facts?. I am merely expressing my opinions, I do not state them to be truths.

We all face criticism in our lives, sometimes we may hear things we do not like, it is how we address them which is important.

You've addressed this subject in a totally unfair way methinks. Stop whinging about it, just go buy it, then i'll have another piece of cannon fodder to shoot down online lol :D

Seriously though. These people make the very best flight sims and the outlay is small compared to other games. They deserve respect for what they do.

Honestly, $20 tho? - lmfao!

Gimpymoo's last post doesnt seem to bad to me, nothing that deserves to be deleted.

Springing payments on unsuspecting customers is just poor business. It was not an overnight decision to charge for this upgrade, yet ED were unable to provide that information to its customers. If people knew it was comming, then they wouldn't have had the poor response they are getting now.

If you posted in a mature and non inflammatory way you might get a response to genuine questions.

Yes, added a couple of fully starred out swearies which personally, if they are starred out, I think is acceptable, just like it is here but even with the ***** removed, the criticism is not acceptable to be posted on the forum.

Someone earlier in this thread posted about other threads being deleted now I have no idea what these contained, if they were trolling, fair enough, but if it was genuine criticism about how they have handled a situation then they need to man up.

Honestly, $20 tho? - lmfao!

I have no problem with paying for it as I think the work they have done justifies the cost.

Well, it isn't, and rightly so.

The incompetence in this place is astounding.

Someone, somewhere involved with publishing/marketing is doing a **** job.

Sorry if this sounds like I am trolling, I am not, just generally ****** off with all this from you guys.

You really think THAT is acceptable? Would you say that you the faces of those involved?

Not another one.. lol. I can see all the whingers on the forums. They all want to grow up and pay the tiny outlay for it. They are a business, and they need to bring in returns for their labour. Children mewling on about $20 - When some mainstream games shaft you for map packs, addons etc.

I said it before, i'll say it again: $20..... Get a grip ffs!

I good business manages their customers expectations... ED seem to have failed in this.

Unfortunately managing expectations in this community is nigh on impossible. If anyone from ED says anything, it's treated as gospel truth and a guarantee that it'll happen. In the past when they have given details of planned features and things have changed they were jumped on a it resulted in the sort of flaming you now see in reference to BS2. So quite simply they have decided not to announce anything until it's 100% set in stone.

Also people forget that ED is a russian company and many of the devs don't speak English well enough to be comfortable posting on the English forum, and they also forget Matt is not the boss, he is an ED employee and can only announce what his bosses in Moscow and Duxford permit.

Sorry but you seem to not understand the point. I made it pretty simple but obviously not simple enough.

Yes, I would say it to their faces and if they were offended, obviously I would not use those words again.

A forum, in my opinion, is an informal place for discussion and it is silly to bring a real life scenario as in that instance, you can express yourself in other ways. I never thought anyone would ever be soo offended by multiple asterisks on a screen :(

Exactly! Finally, someone with understanding.

Well then I have to tell you that what you said is HIGHLY insulting, and not because of the swearing, starred out or not.

A forum is a place for discussion, mature discussion. Insulting people on their own forums is mature, nor a discussion and any posts doing so should be deleted as they have been.

I was commentating on "the system" and expressing my opinions.

I have no idea who "Bilbo Baggins" is who works in marketing/publishing is do I so how can I be insulting them if I do not know them?

Maybe if Bilbo replied informing me of the truths instead of some over eager admin deleting mine and other peoples posts, these situations could be avoided.

I understand the "hardcore" ED supporters will be more forgiving towards certain situations but to the more casual/recent players, they will not be soo forgiving and they will ask questions and let them know if something does not seem right. For me, the current attitude in that community is not conducive to a growing community.

I don't know you and yet I know not to post things that you might find insulting, regardless of what I feel like saying. Being civil doesn't require knowing a person, it merely requires that you think before you post. It's no different to any other social interaction.

It's not the opinion that is insulting, everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's the way you voiced it and the language you used that is the problem.

The truths have been pointed out by Wags in that very thread already.

I understand what you are saying but communication is a 2 way thing and if somebody is expressing themselves "loudly", maybe someone should listen to that person instead of gagging them as there may be merit in their words.

Also, in my experiences, if someone on a forum does seem to have a few things to express, I believe entering into communication with that person is a good start as gagging them very rarely goes towards resolving the situation at its core.

Rather than de-rail this thread any further, I will message your trust should any further replies be needed.

For the record, I am not a loud mouthed thug with the social etiquette of a potato :)

The truths have been pointed out by Wags in that very thread already.

What were they?
