I have gtx 460 and old quad core bs1 was kind of clunky but bs2 much better for me gone form most setting medium to high but i have not entered battle just had a cruse.

I'm not paying "20" for a patch/upgrade

its a bit cheeky - I thought it had been talked about for ages as being free

I'm not impressed - I bought DCS A10 as well

but all of this may affect any future DCS purchases

I was just recalling how badly BS ran for me when I tried anything more than simple flights, but then I remembered that was on my old system and I've not even tried it on this one yet

You should be grand so. I have a E8400 @3.5, 4GB and a 4890, and I plod along at anything from 20 to 60 with all the bells and whistles on. Your system should run it well.

This version of DCS is more balanced in terms of being CPU or GPU heavy, the GPU is utilised much more than BS1 - however really large missions still tend to be CPU dependant mind you.
