7800X3D... what motherboard, what memory?

Leaning towards the MSI Tomahawk B650 but unsure on the memory to pair with it.

Depends on what features you want really, since there isn't really any boards that will give you any extra performance.

RAM some 6000 MT/s stuff, from about £95 for 2x 16GB with Hynix chips for easy timing tightening.

I think the MSI would fit the bill nicely and has the features I need however, what memory/brand do you suggest?

I have the F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RK but not sure if this set would work with AMD?

Its supported so your good.

I keep forgetting to do that... happy days, just the chip and board for me then!

Any news on the fix for the 7800X3D burn outs?

I don’t think there is a solid fix yet. Just flash latest bios and keep an eye on SOC voltages. MSI does seem to be the least affected but that could be a lucky coincidence.
