Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

No there isn't, but it seems a lot of people, and I often include you in this, only appear in threads to post the negative. That's trolling, and I won't stand for it any more. I've let it slide continually despite being asked many times by users to do something about it. I've given people the benefit of the doubt in the hope they aren't trolling. Sadly it seems that some people can't help themselves. Those people will soon find themselves suspended.

So people can't post negative opinions of something ?

I'm entitled to give my opinion of this game, negative or otherwise just like you can heap whatever praise you want...

It looks like fun, and will most probably will be a hoot, both previous games have been, but my god this screenshot:

Just looks horrible!

I've decided I'm still getting one, as the other games in the series have had issues to but it's still be a blast playing them, but my god.

Looks like a texture streaming issue on that one.

Something else quite noticeable is how clear the UI looks compared to everything else as it's being rendered in 1080p compared to 720p for the actual game.

Maybe they come across as trolls because they impacting negatively on something you clearly are lookin forward too?

No one likes too acknowledge flaws on something they hold in high esteem but I think a few people in this thread need too at least accept a few nuggets of truth in regards to Dead Rising 3. After all if you are excited about it as you are saying then accepting some genuine flaws in the game speaks volumes about how much you are looking forward to the title.

Being seemingly unable to accept negative truths about a game you like really is a slippery slope and when you are in that mind set its very easy to assume EVERYONE is trolling.

Liking anything shouldn't be a crusade to prove others wrong. Just enjoy the game, warts and all!

The 1080p UI is a confusing decision, especially when you have a 720p game.

I understand why they would want it, but it doesn't make sense to do something like that.

This seems to be the case with Davey unfortunately. I'm a big COD fan but even i''ll admit that the series has gone down the ****ter since MW2.

Maybe it's so the text is clearer and not blurry on bigger TV's?

Its a standard thing to render the UI at the resolution you are going to upscale the rest of the world in - otherwise upscaling the UI makes it blurry. Also it means its consistently in the right place too...

ps3ud0

ok, so

Have I pre-order an XBONE - Yes

Do I think my expectations were too high demanding 1080p games considering the console will have a 10 year life cycle - No

am I a little miffed at seeing games run at 720p with dreadful fps - Yes

should they have beefed up the specs and charged another £100 - ABSOLUTELY (should have been £499 with great graphics)

am I still buying one - Hell Yeah

as much as my brain is telling me to cancel my pre-order, something inside me still wants that new toy at Christmas :-) I'll be buying Dead Rising 3, even though it looks like a 360 game

Damn this was guaranteed money from me day one but I'm going to wait to see if it gets at least an 8 from eurogamer before I buy it as digital titles are costly and thats how i'm doing this new gen. Forza 5 and that golf game if it gets over about a 5......im less fussy about £24.99 3.9GB fantasy golf games than I am about £64.99 digital AAA titles :P It'll get an 8 right?!?! surely

what's the golf game? I'm looking at getting some Kinect family fun games for Christmas....gutted Kinect rivals got pushed back to next year

Powerstar golf. Looks like Everybodies Golf world tour for ps3 but with sharper graphics more detail etc. Hopefully it's also great like outlaw golf xbox/tee off dreamcast/hot shots ps1

It's after Forza my fave title out of the list now DR:3 has been shown in detail. The DR:3 gameplay footage from outside xbox looked reeeeal shabby over the weekend and I look forward to other games more now.

Can't say I'm not dissapointed with the supposed performance. Not too worried about graphics or resolution, as in motion it seems to look ok (not great, but it's gameplay that's important).

However, why didn't they tone down the sheer number of zombies to claw back some performance? In some scenes there are hundreds! Sure, that looks great, but if you cut a quarter to a third of those out, it would still look great and give you that extra performance towards frame rate. I doubt many would notice or care to be honest.

I was never getting this on release day, as it's not really my sort of thing, but I planned to wait till it dropped in price because it looks pretty epic and makes me want to give it a shot. This has only made me sure I am doing the right thing.

The solution seems so simple to me. Patch a few zombies out.

Is there any slowdown in those videos like? I didn't notice any. If it hadn't been for the number in the corner the frame rate wouldn't even be questioned.

I don't think it's the zombies causing it though, looks to be something else. Look here for example:

Inside a small room with not much going on but drops to 10 FPS.

Surely there is something wrong here?
