Have you never played FPS games on the PC where the framerate drops when indoors? I think Farcry 3 did it in the small "safehouse" huts you went in from memory.
Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

ooof, with these framerate issues it's like DR2 on the PC all over again. What is it about Dead Rising that makes it such a hog? It's not like capcom are utterly useless, they know how to produce a well optimized game.

This has absolutely nothing to do with people posting negative comments about something I'm looking forward to. It is everything to do with with people who ONLY appear in threads to post negative information.
I don't give a toss if people post negative information about Dead Rising. I'm disappointed myself with the DF article. That's not the problem. The problem is that certain people only appear in a thread to post negative information. That's called trolling. They then try to hide behind the "oh so we can only post positive information?" line.
It's not allowed in other parts of the forum. Go and try posting only negative info about Nvidia in the Graphics Card forum and see how long you last. I've been patient and lenient here because I don't want to be heavy handed, or be accused of being a fanboy, but it's getting beyond a joke now. The simple fact that several other forum members are calling these people trolls also shows that it's not just me who thinks it. I love this forum and enjoy seeing intelligent discussions taking place, be it good or bad, and I'm sick of seeing people trashing it.
That's not happened here since 2008!
Still getting this but do wonder how much of it was rushed to make it a launch title given the supposed issues. Seems to me it could have done with a few more months of optimising the performance. Wonder what chances of further patches along the way.

I wonder if it's the streaming causing the frame rate issues. I mean look at this part, it dips to 20 fps but there's nothing actually happening, yet I've seen bits with hordes of zombies that are around 26-30 fps.

Why are people not allowed to discuss how crap it is to have a game on a next gen console not even being able to run at 30fps, which in itself is embarrassing as it is. People are making a financial investment in a console and want to talk about it. Myself included. I have a 360 on order and would have probably purchased this title, but thanks to the forum members that have an expectation, I will be steering well clear of this, and maybe even the console itself.

Do I think my expectations were too high demanding 1080p games considering the console will have a 10 year life cycle - No
am I a little miffed at seeing games run at 720p with dreadful fps - Yes
should they have beefed up the specs and charged another £100 - ABSOLUTELY (should have been £499 with great graphics)
am I still buying one - Hell Yeah

It's also unfortunate that the game runs at far from the promised locked 30fps - rather a chugging 20fps during the zombie action while out in the big city.

When Giantbomb kept saying the jury is out on DR3, a game they had played you knew they were dieing to say more. I'm sure it's a hangover from being a game that was supposed to be on the 360 but that eurogamer article is like wingarms all over again
20fps my god, how can anyone defend that? The usual excuse if no one minds 30 over 60 if it's stable. So 20fps, now we will hear how it's all about gameplay?
Unforgivable on the 360 let alone a new console. Clearly it has the power and should have been delayed or that article is BS.

I can't argue, the framerate issues are very disappointing, especially as they appeared to be fixed. I'm hoping for 2 things...
1) They're fairly sporadic in the game
2) I'm enjoying the game too much to care
