Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

The game has average at best written all over it.

The only people who will think that are the people who didn't enjoy DR1+2. If you're one of those people, I pity you :p

For me, the Dead Rising games are about more than the story. They're about the fun you can make yourself as you roam around. Now that DR3 is doing away with the time limit (in the standard mode anyway), you're even more free to do that. It's looking absolutely immense for me, and I can't wait to get it in November.

Don't pity me, played both dead rising 1 + 2 and although DR1 was very impressive as a 360 near launch title, both are extremely average games.

I have Dead Rising 1/2 & OTR, and it disappoints greatly I wont be playing this game when it's launched, it's the one title I could see swaying me to get an XB1 at launch if I have the money (and I may ditch my PS4 order in favour of an XB1 based purely on this game).

I love the Dead Rising series, and I would want to play through this to unlock the timed mode as it's the only way to play for me, I love how you can't do everything due to time, such a clever (yet very misunderstood) mechanic.

Even though im getting a ps4, i have to say this looks to be the best game by far out of all the launch titles on both systems. Im kind of gutted its xbox only as it looks so much fun.
The only dissapointing thing for me is it looks pretty choppy..looks like the fps dip under 30 quite abit which is poor for a console that isn't even out yet.

This is pretty much how I feel was the only Xbone game I'll regret not getting, but I still won't get an Xbone unless they ditch Kinect & drop the price, I'll just have to hope its a timed exclusive & comes to PC or PS4 eventually.

I've got to agree with him, I found both of them very poor.

I'd even go as far as to the first one was one of the most disappointing games I've played.
Horses for courses though isn't it would be a pretty bleak world if every gamer had the same taste every game would be a COD clone.
The only aspect of this that I don't like is the calling in of airstrikes & gunships with a tablet, which personally I don't think fits this type of game & smart glass/tablet integration is like the new motion control in that it's shoe horned into games needlessly! if it ever does come to other platforms it's an aspect of the game I'd avoid using myself.

Does look good, can i justify getting an Xbox One just to play this game?

Absolutely. I've purchased various consoles based on one must have game and have never regretted it. There's also something very special about console launches - everything's shiny and new, and sharing that with everyone else. Considering they're going to last for years and year and represent amazing value for money, I see no reason not to pick up all the consoles at launch if cash permits :)

Back to Dead Rising. The first is one possibly my favourite 360 game and the 2nd was great fun in co-op. No. 3 looks awesome!

The airstrike and gunship support is the one WTF? thing with this game, why would an average Joe mechanic have access to this?

DR3 looks great, i enjoyed the first two.

Not sure i'll buy this at launch though, as Forza will be taking up most of my console time as usual.

From watching the 2nd video, it looks like he comes across military codes in the game (or perhaps people he meets gives them to him), so rather than it being a "joe mechanic" calling it in, as far as the military are concerned, it's one of their own.

Besides, in a game where you can wear a full on shark outfit and use a flaming sword, why question why a mechanic has access to air strikes? :D

Giant shark outfit is fitting. :p

No explanation about military codes (which by the sounds of it I have missed as I have not watched anything about this as I don't want to torture myself) is not good, however it's covered.

:D

Frame rate is shocking.
Surprised no one mentioned in, but in the demo it's all over the place.
Looks an amazing game, but I'm worried about its performance, MS should never have specc'ed the Xbox one so low =/.
