Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

i did mention it :P it looks an amazing game but its a little worrying that the frame rate looks so low on a console that hasn't even been released yet.
I would in all fairness though swap every ps4 launch title just for this one lol. It looks a blast. Any chance in the future this might come to the ps4?
 
I'm increasingly tempted by DR3. Got Forza and Ryse pre-ordered though and can only manage two games at most.

Dead Rising 1 was a game I bought the 360 for, and yet I was awful at it and never finished it. :p Owned Dead Rising 2 and loved it but again, didn't finish it. Third time lucky? :D
 
This and Forza 5 are the reason I'm getting the Xbox One. Sounds like I'm not the only one who got the 360 because of Dead Rising. I remember getting the console just before the demo was released and playing that to death until the game came out.

i read that it was some dude in the same sitch as the mechanic that got trapped in a military bunker, and the mechanic manages to befriend him via a radio so naturally he can help out.

when i first saw dr3 i was really disappointed because i knew i was not getting a xbox, after watching these vids for some reason im not as disappointed, maybe because it just to ott, guess i like my zombie games to be serious. not ruling it out yet tho.

anyone else notice "pop in" in the video? i saw smoke/cars/objects pop in which would really ruin it for me if i was to get a bone, tho i guess its not final.
 
I think im going to get an Xbox One to play this game after saying i'd wait a bit later down the line to get one as I'm getting a PS4 lol.

Am i the only one that found Dead Rising 1 quite difficult? I never got that far in the game, seemed to die quite often and have to start again, putting me off actually finishing the game.
 
The thing with Dead Rising, was you hardly had and health or speed when you started, making it quite tricky. As soon as you level up (and levels carry over when you restart) it becomes much more fun.

Back on topic:

I have to say, this looks excellent.

I'd pretty much ditched the Xbox 1 as a potential purchase as soon as I saw the price tag, but this is making me think again. I won't be getting it at launch or probably even in the first year after launch, but down the line I will have to play this.

I loved both Dead Rising 1 and 2, and I'll probably play through both again just because I watched that video.

I noticed the frame rate drops, but I'm hopeful that as we're still 3/4 months away from release, all that can be ironed out and turned into a nice stable 30 FPS or whatever they're aiming for.

I'm assuming you've not played any of the other Dead Rising games then? They're far less serious than this seems to be.

You should get Off The Record, if you haven't played it. It's a fantastic remix of DR2 with Frank as the main character.
 
Yup, that picture definitely proves the madness of the previous games is there for you if you still want it.

I started playing Dead Rising 1 again last night as looking at the trailers for this made me want to kill zombies again. I really hope Frank "I've covered wars y'know" West makes an appearance in DR3, it'd be great to know what he and Chuck are up to, and whether they're even still alive.
