Got the 1k on this now, those last 200,000 zombies were a grind! I had recorded a clip but for some reason the video editor keeps giving me an error saying thre's a problem with the clip when I try and upload it

Looking forward to seeing what the DLC is now.

Did you just use a vehicle and spend ages driving around? That's how I'd do it, either on the Rollerhawg or in the Junk Car.

Rollerhawg on chapter 8 just doing a lap round the top part of Ingleton. I'd leave a mobile locker in the garage and stop every now and then to throw a Massive Bomb as that kills 1000 zombies.

I did mix it up a bit due to boredom and just go on a rampage with various weapons but the majority was just vehicle based carnage.

He's not, I found one via the app. I think it was in the north east of the map, right near the top corner

Question on how much time I've got left...

just started chapter 4 and I think I've got about 2 days left on the timer, is that enough to finish all the chapters before the nuke?

I've spent ages exploring and doing side missions

Yes, I would say so. I think I started Chapter 5 with about 1 day 18 hours to go, and thought I would be running low on time, so did pretty much nothing but story missions. I ended up having about 9 hours to spare. If you've concerned, just blast through a couple of chapters as they aren't overly long if you concentrate on them, then do side missions again if you have the time from say Chapter 6

I don't think there are any comparable games period. The Dead Rising series is fairly unique afaik.

My XB1 is arriving tomorrow (FINALLY) along with DR3, I so can't wait to at last start playing this. DR1 and 2 still two of my most fav games, so this I hope will fit in nicely.

I can see my PS4 gathering dust now, as there really are no games on there I'm interested in, and the lineup for it looks pretty weak to me. DR3 and Forza alone destroy anything the PS4 has/coming up.

I thought the timer was a thing of the past in Dead Rising 3?? I'm sure I remember one of the developers saying there wasn't a timer like previous games so you could just mess about and take as long as you like!??

Is that not the case?

Likewise if you rush the main story can you still play the open world after and do side missions?

I did every mission while playing through and didn't run out of time, that included grabbing most of the collectables too.

It was close but I had enough time to do pretty much everything.

You can reload chapters once you finish to enable you to get collectables and do missions from that chapter.

Finally finished this today, enjoyed the game although clock watching did bug me a little. I think from the comments here I rushed the mains story a tad towards the end.

Anyhow I'm considering moving the game on, just need to weigh up if it's worth keeping for co-op and DLC.

Finished this last night. What a great game, got ending S.

So for collectibles round up, just better to use chapter select rather than start new game?

I didnt think the time actually mattered if you played normal story mode? I ended up level 44 and killed about 50k zombies, only missed about 2 side missions and still had time.

Started playing this last night and have to admit I didn't really enjoy it, only got as far as the garage with the other 2 people, and then I went out roaming and seemed to get bombarded with objective after objective.

Wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be using the companion app for either :confused:

You will get extra missions through the companion app, not sure if you have to be at a certain point in the story before that starts happening.

You will also get flares, drone strikes and other things you can call in via it to help you out and using it will be the only way to open the various crates dotted around the city.
