Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

Yeah once you get out of the garage you get lots of incoming calls with side missions. However there is a generous amount of time for each one, showing a bar timer so you know how to prioritise.

I would try and stick with it, as it is an excellent game.
 
Just played the demo. got bored after 5 minute and went back on Forza.

Glad a didn't pay for it. Ill wait till its in the pre-owned bargain bin.
 
Just picked this up. When a zombie jumps on you sometimes it says press B and sometimes it just shows a picture of an entire controller. WTH do you press? :D
 
if it says B - press B!

The picture of the controller means the Kinect can see the controller and wants you to wave it around like a loon :p

You can disable the kinect controls for breaking free in the options, it's far easier to just press B or whatever than wave your controller about.
 
Assume it's a XB1 thing and not DR, but that damn kinect drives me nuts. It randomly pauses the game, but worse, randomly unpauses the game. So I pause it, leave the room, come back and I'm dead cos the game randomly unpaused the game.

I'm assuming it thinks its hearing me say something correct? Can this be turned off, cos its not clever, it's very frustrating.

Surely I'm not the only person that experiences this right?

I saw a few Kinect options in the settings, but I don't recall anything jumping out at me about stopping stuff like Pausing via Kinect etc... I'll look again when I can be bothered to boot my XB1 up again.

Yeah, you can disable the voice commands just in the menu. I found it after having the same problems as you - totally useless. The fact they added the specific menu option shows they knew it was just crap. Drove me nuts until I found it - girlfriend found it hilarious though :mad:

Oh. I assumed my pad was faulty causing the random pauses to happen in this game. Well you live and learn, good job I never bothered to try get it replaced. :P
