Dead Rising 3 latest vid just got me very interested in the game.

Yup, bigger than both DR1+2 combined....

I enjoyed the DR series but its stale now... what it should have been is a more rounded persistant story, so 1 seemless into 2, into 3 etc... sort of like the Walking Dead. Bringing characters across etc

Looks amazing and its something that would have tempted me into getting a ONE if it wasnt for the PS4 being more suited to me gamewise, however I cant help but feel that the series as a whole has missed a trick and could have been something epic collectively, rather than a game by game basis.

Like someone else said, I can see this being THE best game at launch across the platforms.

Maybe I expect too much :D

So, you think it's stale, but could also be the best launch game on either platform? Okay.....

Mainly the best because all the launch games look 'swear word' to me tbh

As for stale, well 1 + 2 did or do what 3 will, 3 may have more zombies or better graphics, or new weapons and a slightly 'new' story to it... but at the end of the day, you will achieve the same outcome playing any of the 3 games offered - zombie killfest with a sideline of a story to complete.

What I tried to convey which was missed by the bandwagon, is that its a shame the series hasnt been persistent and had a really good story to it. Sort of Walking Dead TV show 'esque.

Game 1 - how it all unfolded, you get your survivors etc and the early development of the new world.

Game 2 - characters carry over, more exploration and so on things like that...

Anyway my point stands; launch day games wont be anything to write home about for either console and DR 1 + 2 do/did what 3 will do, thats why its stale.

The series has a good persistent story. DR1 leads into Case Zero, which leads into DR2, which leads into Case West.

And you're also suggesting they should change a successful formula?

You must be easily pleased to have enjoyed that story, if the game wasnt unique in having loads of zombies people would look past it every day of the week.

As for successful formula, id say going by reviews and the metacritic scores on the 360 versions... they have all dropped since the first one, which probably peaked as I say because it was unique and killing millions of zombies like that was a first in gaming.

Never been interested in any of the DR game but after watching the video, i may just have to get this as well. Might ditch Ghosts and get this instead with Forza.

Decisions decisions:p

Sure, no games with lots of zombies around.

Bit off topic here guys but has anyone played Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on the PC? If so, how does it run? Thinking about buying it but i've just noticed it has GFWL. :(
