Now that is looking a lot smoother, not sure what could have changed between GC and PAX though.
It's my understanding (and I could be wrong) that the GC demo was running on a build that was already several weeks old. If that's true, they had about 4-6 weeks or so to optimise it before PAX. Assuming the game is pretty much finished (and I believe it is), that's all they have left to do, get it running smoothly. Hopefully that video is proof they're doing just that and we can expect a lovely smooth game upon release. Now that is looking a lot smoother, not sure what could have changed between GC and PAX though.
I never had a problem with the load screens tbh, though I won't be sad to see the back of them.wow that's night and day difference, looking good and so glad they good rid of load screens which killed the last 2 games.
Dead Rising 1 85.1%
Dead Rising 2 80.07%
So hardly average games.
You heard wrong, the psychopaths are still in the gameHardly stellar either. It's an ok franchise. Too many fetch quests for my liking, the bosses were the best bit but I heard they have been removed?
New video. Off screen, but it's looking much better.
Is that running on an Xbox one or PC because it looks so much smoother now...i mean the same parts looked about 5-10 fps in a vid from a month ago but now it looks much smoother.
I know its probably a later build but could it just be running on a pc?
There are two main types of non-zombie enemies in Dead Rising 3. The first are story-line characters such as Hunter Thibadeuax, a motor-cycle gang leader who menaces protagonist Nick Ramos and Nick’s boss Rhonda in one of the story’s boss encounters.
The second are the “Psycho” characters, each named after one of the seven deadly sins. These characters work differently from the story-line bosses. And unlike the story-line characters who may or may not be crazed or evil, the psychos are pretty bad to the core.
Dead Rising 3 is now "frame-locked" at 30FPS, producer Mike Jones has claimed, just one month after the game appeared to be suffering from major performance issues.
Discussing the game's performance at TGS with Polygon, Jones said that "if you saw it at Gamescom, we got a new drop from Microsoft literally that week, so you're seeing optimisations happening right now.
"We're in the midst of beta and final optimizations and polish — absolutely, we've got the game frame-locked at 30."
Absolutely, makes me happy I decided to go XB1 first
