Dead Space 2 .

First run through took me 12 hours, second run through on zealot took me 8. I didn't rush and was looking for items on my second run.

First run through was 9 hours taking my time, next run through on Zealot was 6 I think? Might have been even less.

12 hours? Took me 6 hours to complete and I had to back track a lot to get ammo/health.

What can I say I don't rush at all. I'm a pretty slow gamer through these types of games. I do a bit, flick the screen over, surf the net and then play some more. I also tended to do a lot of back tracking to stores to dump off excess equipment for my zealot run. Plus I did the node glitch which took up an hour of playtime. I well over did it because I forgot about the node re-format.

Game was about the right length for me.

I was having fun on my second play through til I got to chapter 13. Now it's a chore.
Go into room - have 30 black necromorphs thrown at you. Survive that and then it happens again. Groan!

Yeah it's those red rooms. I think they ran out of ideas at that point so thought the best plan would be to spam you with enemies.
I think i'll try running with the force gun.

I'm on chapter 5 of DS2 (which does seem to suggest it's a short game, I still feel like I've only just started), and I have to say, so far I'm not enjoying it as much as the first game. May have done myself a disservice by replaying the first game again just before starting DS2, but so far all the nice little touches I liked in DS are gone or diminished in DS2. There's no real feeling of tension or atmosphere either, it all feels a bit dull in comparison. Still a good game, but it just seems like they're throwing things in your face a lot more this time round.

The voice acting so far is fairly poor too, I don't feel convinced by any of the characters really, especially Isaac himself. He sounds like an office worker who swears a lot, not a man suffering dementia as a result of what he's experienced.

I'm not disappointed with the game, just disappointed that Visceral seem to have forgotten to include a lot of the little things that made the first game brilliant.

On chapter 7 and finding it a bit boring now to be honest and no real 'want' to finish it...

It's really good! I'm doing my first playthrough on Zealot but I'm at a point in Chapter 8 where I have little ammo, no health packs and also low on health myself with no store in sight. I'm stick because I just get abused by the first necro I see. Zealot difficuly really gives you **** all when it comes to money and ammo.

Zealot is really better for a 2nd play through. Going through from the start is harsh.

Doing a Normal run, getting your suits, and a load of ammo/health, makes doing Zealot on your second play through much less stressful.

Looks like the price has dropped on this quite a lot now, can pick it up for ~£22 new.

May have to pick it up, I liked the demo but was playing COD:BO far too much to warrant spending another £40 on a game.

Never played the first one, so I have nothing to compare it to in that sense. All I know is the demo scared the crap out of me!

just bought for £23 quid limited edition on PS3.

Sooooo glad I wait a few weeks before buying games nowadays.

Just finished the first on PS3 the other night and loved every second so really looking forward to this one and extraction.

Im glad I finished it, but wow did it run out of steam towards the end. The last 3 or 4 levels were utter drivel.

Separately, I must seriously be bad at this game. I played on normal and despite finding it fairly easy throughout, I struggled horrendously with the final boss. Even the idea of survivor scares me, let alone zealot *shudder*
