Dead Space 3 - Thread

And the sad thing is, many people will pay for this **** just like they did for BF 3 and its DLC, premium, weapon unlock stuff etc. thus we will keep on getting this in future games :(
 
So ****ing lame, console is what 240-250Ł...while PC easily can be 1000Ł.

********, well ain't buying this one, a lot of users will just pirate it.
 
Apparently if you pre-load from Origin right now:

"close origin-> change date to 5th February -> disable internet connection-> start the game - > game will ask to provide origin log and pass -> enable internet -> type log and pass -> play game."

Game is already fully SP playable in offline mode ;) I am still keeping my UK retail pre-order later this week as it comes with some DLC & even with the BS on Microtransactions & no PC specific love I am such a massive fan of the series this is most likely the last game to be made now its unlikely to hit 5m especially with the anti-PC sentiment from Visceral Games :rolleyes: Wonder if they ran those statements by EA beforehand........

So played the game, using the 7970M and all the setting turned up to the max at 1080. I get around 60+ FPS. Some points dipping down to 50 which is not promising as my GPU is the second strongest for a laptop.
Going to throw some footage from my camera to show you what the frames are like, and then upload the intro overnight which is recorded via fraps. (which still bugs me, ive set to record at 30fps, but plays at 60 for about 2 seconds then 30 for about 10 and just continues fluctuating)

^^ played this today for an hour 150+ fps on a 7970 with MSAA on all settings on highest just blur off (stop putting this **** in games..).

Surprised the 7970m has troubles with it.
Btw when i had vsync on ingame it locked the fps at 30!?
 
I'd not really bothered looking into DS3 but holy cash cow !! micro transactions for a single player game ?!?!? Hilarious ?!?!? what's more funny is people will still buy it :eek:

I only have SMAA ?! Yeah Vsync should be renamed to consolesync..
only one scene so far where it dips down to 50 rest it more like 70+

You are meant to be able to change the fov by doing this, I dont have the game yet so can't check:

Edit config file to change FOV •

Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\EA Games\Dead Space 3\system.txt

Search for the line Window.FOVScale

Change the value from 1.00000000 to a higher one (default FOV is around 75 degrees).
Save your changes.

Make a MASSIVELY HUGE & PLAYABLE DIFFERENCE

over 1.500000000 things start getting a little fished eyed and weird

Can someone confirm?
