Dead Space Is Awesome!!

Anyone else getting weird mouse sensitivity with this game? Often its nice and linear based on the sensitivity in the menu. However, from time to time the sensitivity drops like a stone, and no matter how fast/slow I move the mouse, I have to move it all the way across the pad just to turn 30 degrees or so. My pad is rather large too...
 
How does one enable AA within Catalyst Control Center...I have it set to 8x its still a little blocky?

Or doesnt it work for this game? :(

Im suprised at some of the comments, people bringing this game down about such tiny faults like not being able to remap, im sure it will get patched out. as for the mouse lag issue, yea, that is annoying, seems all recent games that are also released on console at the same time have the console aim touch... where the slower you move the mouse the slower the aiming, its for joysticks, really anoying :( hopefully that will be patched out

No the game is great, but for me I simply cannot play without arrow keys for movement and being able to remap controls to your desired ones is an essential requirement in this year of 2008.

Not being able to remap keys is blasphemy in the pc gaming world JUST because you like wasd doesn't mean everyone does.

Playing with wASD is like trying to play cs source on a gamepad it's that uncomfortable and non intuitive for me.
Some people start on wasd and stay there wheras some start on arrows and stay there.

Agreed im scanning through thread to see if there is a fix to enable AA and managing to realise when someone is silly enough to post spoilers that potentially can ruin a game for someone....

Even though i already edited my post to reflect that more than a day ago?
 
Must admit I'm with you there I play all my fps with the same key setup.
Arrows for movement, del for reload and tab for health.
So it's feels wrong playing deadspace with wasd.
 
i'm a lefty and for FPS i use numpad for keybindings, but games like WoW i use WASD, if you look the W is offset to the left of A and D and i find this quite comftable. (left hand mouse, right kb).

Possible Spoiler:

There's some control panels, use them to extend the arms. One of the arms won't latch on. Engage it again, and when it connects with the tram, fire the statis thingy at it. Quickly run to the middle control panel between the two arm control panels, and engage it.
 
Feel sorry for those struggling with the keyboard/ratter controls. They feel so off that I couldn't quite believe it. Then I realised that I had the MS 360 Receiver, so I hooked up one of my 360 pads and it was a great experience once I disabled V-Synch.
 
Would be very interested how any ATI owners got D3D Overrider tool to work as for me it keeps crashing to the desktop and will not launch the game until disabled so I cannot use the trick to force vsync via that instead of ccc.

Updated: Found the solution disable: Enable Load Library Hooking

Update2: Another superb benefit to this is that with CCC + ingame vsync disabled & D3D Overrider controlling Vsync the load times are now almost instant. Looks like there is a serious bug somewhere in Vistas as both Pure & Dead Space benefit greatly from ingame vsync disabling!!

Just reached hydrophonics and have sod all cash left. On the previous level I had 70k, and an inventory bristling with semiconductors...and now nothing. Need CHEETS! :o
 
SPOILER !!!!!!

i am at the part when i have collected the bioligical weapon , and i am trying to get to the chemical lab to collect a tissue sample , in the room after the guy talks to you , there are the huge 2 thing that keep regenerating , and a locked door with a busted power pack beside it , how the hell do i get it to open , tried shooting the door , and power cell , and tried kinesis to , but i keep getting slaughtered ?
