I think I might grab this game. Looks very good, a cross between sci-fi and horror is ideal.
How well will it run on my rig?
(e4600 @3.1ghz, 4gb, 9600gt OC'd)
It runs fine on my standard 9600GT @ 1680x1050 so should be okay.

Same here. Horrible perspective, horrible controls... fail.
On top of which the game seemed terribly bland and generic anyway so I doubt better view & controls would have saved it for me. Yet it's inexplicably popular so what do I know eh.
Is a scary game?like fear?fear scared the bejaysus outta me.

Would be great if it actually worked with an ATI card. I don't like a choice between horrible lag vs. terrible screen tearing. Other than that disaster, it looks like a great game I will never be able to play again.
The scariest thing about Fear was how repetitive and boring it was.
Guys, I have a problem with starting this game second time - after credits ended it said impossible mode has been released and 6 level suit and other stuff... OK. So I saved the game and started a new one, impossible mode and do not have all my weapons and new suit...all clear...
How do you get all the stuff moved from the end of the game plus all the bonus stuff?
I have this game on PS3. Is it worth trading it in and getting it on pc as ive seen it pretty cheap somewhere. Are the graphics and sound any better? etc
Seen a Youtube video of PS3 Deadspace and it looked better than the PC version. Youtube link switches to full game view around 3:30, and corridor view at 3:39 looked worse on the PC (if the same corridor as I remember, as no flickering screens).
WTF Why are these dumb ass parents letting their 8 and 10 year old kids playing very graphical horror games? ******* morons!!![]()
They're not playing it, they're watching.
why are they moronic for letting them watch it? Its a game ffs. ITS NOT REAL
What type of character will it build exactly? Someone who is not scared of the dark and monsters? Someone who likes to see blood and decapitation at the age of 10??At worst they will have nightmares. Which build character.
Oh right, so that makes it ok then?
Separate imagination from reality. Not difficult really. Children make up scarier things in their heads.... The principle behind it is not as significant when fantasy is involved. Its not like they are watching an Al-Queda murder live on TVAre you for real or what. Are you serious? Real or not, it's the principal behind it all. It's gory, bloody, violent, scary and realistic, but it don't matter. It's not real![]()
Its not going to turn them into blood lusting weirdos. Or have you forgotten that kids get their values and principles from their parents (directly or indirectly)? What type of character will it build exactly? Someone who is not scared of the dark and monsters? Someone who likes to see blood and decapitation at the age of 10??
Kids will have nightmares regardless. I never said I would want to give my children nightmares deliberately, you've pulled that out of your arse. Your reaction in general is ridiculous at an issue so small. Do you have children? Do you not let them develop on immune system by disinfecting everything every 10 seconds and stopping them from playing outside? Why would you want to give your kid nightmares?? Please answer that question, i beg you!
You're a bigger moron than the idiot on youtube!
It's 18 rated for a reason. It's not suitable for minors
