Dead Space remake

The only thing I could think they’re saving on is concept art and making the general story beats. A lot of stuff is quite different; it’s not just a coat of paint (like TLOU “remake”).

Glad to read that about the sound design. It does so much of the heavy lifting when it comes to atmosphere, especially in a horror game!

Yeah and in this it really is something else. The 3D audio is superb with noises, moaning, screams and clanging going on all around you. Then it’s just as terrifying when everything is suddenly silent. Really brings the Ishimura alive. Had a couple of hours with it this morning and I love it it’s superb. Glad I went for it.

Going to park it for a while and finish off Witcher 3 which I am near the end of anyway.
 
Further into it now and enjoying it much more now that I’ve a variety of weapons and the story is picking up a bit. Some of the lighting and environments are excellent! Really good :)

Played a couple of hours this evening, also playing with 3D headphones as it sounds like one of those games you just have to immerse yourself into to get the full experience, I agree with the audio the sounds are outstanding, the constant drone/synth sounds at time with all the alarms and screeching is just terrifying if you really immerse yourself, the graphics/lighting are tremendous, this is going to be a great ride!

It’s dropped in price to £54.95 now, I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. Particularly to those, like me, who’ve not played it before. It’s great :)
 
Well my mate at work wanted to play The Callisto Protocol so he bought Dead Space Remake from The Game Collection Ebay store for £47 and gave it to me to play while he is playing TCP. Will give it a blast in the next few days.
 
I got this from Boomerang. Whilst I'm mainly enjoying it the whole "AI enemy director" thing is getting a bit annoying. It really likes dropping an enemy right behind you meaning you sometimes can't avoid taking damage :mad:
 
I might have a play through of the original again, I never did get the hardest difficulty done.

Did they leave the cheats in the new game from the old one?

I did that bit today. Was the worst section of the original and decently handled now.

Cracked on quite a bit and I’m up to mission 8 I think. Loving every minute of it and will be going for a NG+ when I am done. I am reading every text log and listening intently to every audio log just to immerse myself into it all.

Talking Isaac absolutely works for me I don’t know why we were all so worried.
