Dead Space remake

I only died like 3 times (the boss' 2nd and 3rd phases are weirdly easy), but seeing that completely unnecessary scene EACH TIME you needed to retry was just weird.
That's like game design 101 that no one should be doing in 2023.

I am enjoying this game much more than I thought I was going to! I love everything about it, gameplay, atmosphere, audio, story. I am playing on hard, and its certainly making me think about ammo use. I have also been playing it slowly not rushing and ended up making notes on how to get back to security clearance doors, i need the loot! Currently on chapter 7 and having a blast - I am spending nodes on Suit upgrades and the Pulse rifle mostly

Completed this last night with all side missions done, absolutely adored it. They nailed pretty much everything that made the original great, from the look, the audio design, the atmosphere and the general pace of the game, plus the quite visceral and tense combat, then expanded on everything even more. There are so many ways it could have gone wrong but this was a real love letter to the original game. Even small things like being able to turn off the DS2-style button prompts on doors/item boxes for a bit of added immersion shows the developers are huge fans of the original. I'll still love the original but this has largely surpassed it for me.

It wasn't absolutely perfect; the voice acting was often a bit naff, I didn't mind Isaac talking but Hammond often sounded like the script was being read for the first time. Enemies were sometimes a bit too quick to crowd you, which isn't something I recall being as frustrating in the original (although the pitch black darkness of the new one means they often get the jump on you). I was also disappointed that the "circuit breaker" mechanic wasn't used for better effect more often, there were probably only a couple of times where you had to make a choice between say, lights or life support. I was looking forward to more of those sections but they never came.

I'm hoping I found all the security override caches, I scoured the map intently looking for them all but it's not the best and not being able to set your own waypoint was a bit annoying.

Trying to install this on ps5, Gets to around 24gig and I can hear the drive struggling like the disc is damaged but it’s a new game and clean.

Tried all the solutions like:
Clear cache
Rebuild database
Unplug system
Disconnect ps5 from internet
Try another game

No luck.

Any ideas??

Error code: CE-100005-6

Edit: decided to replace the game. Worked perfect.

Is it possible that some games have corrupted/unreadable files on them? Never had this problem before.

From what I have read the drive in PS5 is a bit sensitive. Lots of people with brand new game discs having the same problems that get fixed when they clean the disc, even though it’s brand new.

Also, seems to be some issues with the console downloading updates whilst installing from disc.

Pausing download of updates until disc install is finished seems to have fixed it for some.

Glad you got it sorted.
