Deadpool 3 - Coming 2024

Not normal, did no one pop out to ask them to sort?
I guess not, I was with some friends who would have been unhappy had I said anything at the time, plus I didn't really want to miss any of the film by having to leave and track down a member of staff, I thought they were supposed to check in on these things.

9/10.

Hands down the best Deadpool film yet. That's all I'm gonna say, don't wanna risk ruining it for anyone.

Oh and this is absolutely 100% a cinema job, you're doing yourself a disservice by not seeing it on the big screen.

Absolutely loved it. You were so right. Same score 9/10 for me. Finally a Marvel movie that is actually good and light years ahead of the same old tired generic material in the last few MCU phases. Shows what a good script and writing can do. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman really out did themselves. Maximum Effort.

Just back from a late viewing, my initial impression was very simple - "it was fun" - and its been so long since I've paid money and seen a film that was "fun" rather than serious or, more likely just crap. I've seen some good films recently (Dune 2 etc) but "fun" films felt like they'd died out until this, and the 10pm showing had 90+ people in it, with a good 2/3's laughing at all the right places.

Anyway, bedtime now but very happy with what I saw!

Yeah our showing for once was a packed crowd. Never seen a audience so animated and happy. Me included :D

Agreed, was great to see this in my local cinema too.

Also, it was the busiest I can remember seeing the cinema since reopening from the pandemic.
Mine had 3 sold out screens at 00:05 on Thursday morning.

1 IMAX (English), 1 iSense(English), 1 normal(Spanish). Close to 1000 people in total.
Impressive considering it's on the edge of Barcelona and inside a shopping centre!

100% so many movies miss the fun factor but not Deadpool & Wolverine
Fantastic film.....the best 'MCU' outing since Infinity War in my opinion.

The opening credit scene with the Nsync track is brilliant.

Yep agreed

Same at the showing I went to

Is it a small cinema?
Yeah it's pretty small, 3 screens (although one of those is mostly just for shows) it's a combined theatre/cinema. I don't know if the latter is kept going by the former but the number of times I've been there and the customers have been outnumbered by the staff is crazy.

Oh wow, $211m worldwide in just TWO DAYS (Thur/Fri) with the Thursday being just previews so not even a full opening!!!!!!! Thats gigantic, thats starting to approach Avengers Infinity War levels of box office figures* Hell, it took the original Avatar 4 days to hit the same $96m in the domestic BO as this film has done in 2!

.* - Friday opening of AIW - $106m vs $96m for Friday opening of D&W

Was just about to post this

That's a maximum effort immense box office for current times.

Given The Marvels only took $206m after it's full global run it puts it in perspective.

Guardians 3 took $118m domestic on it's opening weekend and GoG3 was the most recent big successful MCU (2023). Spider-Man NwH (2021) did $260m opening domestic

End Game took $357m domestic on the opening weekend.
