Debadging

we've always ticked the debadge option on the 5s, i think it looks cleaner

plus there's nothing special about a 525d ;)

Debadged mine, looks a lot smoother and cleaner IMO

Hair dryer with some fish wire to remove the badges then some bug and tar remover to get rid of excess bits of glue.

Dad had a debadged 540i. He always said its better to be a wolf in sheeps clothing!

Id go for the debadge, looks much nicer imo.

Leave it as is, it looks nice as it is so the aesthetics reason is out and the T5 is nothing to be ashamed of so embarrassment is not an issue either.

Really don't see the point in debadging. When I do see it done I just presume the owner has a lower model and wished he had the top of the range engine/model.

Disagree all you like, you're still wrong :p .

Not necessarily, although it mainly depends on the car and trim level I guess, heck mine is debadged 318ci sport and nobody who's seen it has sniggered or laughed or whatever due to the fact it looks awesome and shiny day or night!

Just driving through town some days people will look as you pass by - I very much doubt they'd be looking for a badge but more the car itself.

Debadging is a owner preference in my (and many others) case, I like the minimalist look and the majority f people here by now probably already know this :p

Op should debadge, and give the damn thing a wash :(

Debadged Kate's 200SX because the badge is a pain in the arse to clean around. Nothing to do with wishing it was the top of the range model because, err it was :D

Manta doesn't have badges so no go there and the Golf badges would leave holes.

I de-badged the e36 for the pure menace the 318i badge was to the general public.. (the i was squint too, proper squint not how it should be squint)

debadged the 19 completely but put them back on after deciding it wasn't worth tacking up the holes and faffing.

Then most of the time, you are probably presuming wrong.

I disagree.

I agree sometimes it can look better.

Would you debadge an E46 M3?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, no not an M3 because it doesn't have 8 foot font numbers but instead an M3 badge - on an actual M car so would be left well alone - although if it were in Topaz blue I'd maybe think about it, that colour looks the sex with nothing distracting the awesomeness!

my E55 was debadged from factory. thought about putting it back on but cant really be bothered. It does look a bit tidier, but equally a little AMG and E55 badges arent exactly overwhelming!

I would wash it, but it's a lost cause at the moment. The road outside my house is used by the construction vehicles and as such the road gets caked in mud. Then in the evening a road cleaner attempts to remove the dirt, but in reality all it does is make a watery muddy mess (you can kinda see it in my image).

I'm still in 2 minds about debagging.
