First thing I did was debadge my 330. Was hoping to stand out less to joyriders or boy racers.
But why, it's only a run of the mill 330, not exactly an M3 is it?

something like a debadged 335 would be hilarious. people really would be left wondering WTF

Aside from the unique 2 tailpipes giving the game away?
Might take the renaultsport badge off the back of my car, has a couple of tar spots in the lettering that are impossible to get rid of
i wouldnt know the exhaust pipe layout on a 335 and im pretty into cars, the rest of the world will just see it as another 3 series and wonder whether theyve left their handbrake on or stalled as "some 3 series" rockets off over the horizon
I did think that BMW had made the M3 de-badge proof with the additional vents and add on tat?

The point is, that given 2 cars which look identical that are badged, the prospective thief would be more likely drawn to the one which had the 330 badge , rather than the one with the 318 badge. Yes?![]()

Sure sure.
The "rest of the world" will see a big BMW that looks fast and powerful and will love looking at it regardless.
A 335i is pretty damn obvious from the big 3" twin pipes to the loud big engine noises coming from the bonnet.
