Decent game controller?

Think my scuf valor pro wired is going to take a little getting used to, the sticks sensitivity seem weird, ive downloaded the update for the 1k polling but havent tried it yet, hopefully it improves it a little.

Not sure if all hall effect sticks feel a little weird or just this controller, this is my first experience with hall effect sticks.

Does anyone else on here have this pad?

No, but I can say the hall effect (TMR?) sticks on my Cyclone 2 are excellent.

The valor pro feels quality and is one of the comfiest controllers ive used, just think the deadzones are a little weird on it, after looking at a few reviews just now seems quite a few people say the same,
although some people love it, some also hate it lol.

Its not terrible and think i will get used to it, just feels different to a standard stick like ive used all my life up until now.

It has hall effect sticks which aren't particularly accurate and will probably have a different aim response curve to what you're used to. Ideally you want something with TMR sticks for good accuracy like the Gamesir G7 Pro.

Yeah, seen a few reviews on the gamesir, some great, and some not so great when it comes to quality control from users saying it dosnt last long before it breaks.

Dont use controller for fps games, but do in almost every other type of game i play eg racing, platform, third person.... when racing its fine, but like you say, when playing a third person game where you have to shoot things it seems
a little jerky lol hard to do precise aiming with small movements.

Guess its something i will have to get used to as dont want to spend out on another controller again yet, apart from the weird aiming it does feel quality though and very comfy in hand :)

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear its the same with most hall effect sticks, in the future may go for tmr.

Thanks again

Anyone tried the ZD Ultimate Legend? It looks great.

Tweaking is done via phone app, no need for PC!

@mrk - that issue with the EasySMX 05 (where repeatedly pulling the trigger switched it in software to hair trigger mode) - Do you know whether that is common across the EasySMX range (or if it's now fixed)?

I'm still eyeing up controllers from time to time and the D10 seems like a decent option for the price (~£25 with dock).
Cheers!

It wasn't fixed last I checked vutbisnt common across the range only that controller as it uses a rubbish trigger system really.

gamesir tarantula pro is currently less than £26 delivered on bargainfox (decent company seems to deal with surplus/eol stock)
Probably on discount as it's discontinued - and Gamesir (as of 2 hours ago) just revealed the new Tarantulas:

Tarantula Pro for Xbox
Tarantula 8K PC
Tarantula Ultra 8K PC

Interested to see what the difference will be between the 8k PC and Ultra versions...

Very pleased with the Leapjoy Xena Plus. Well made, I think it’s a step up over the Cyclone 2 but perhaps not as nice as G7 Pro. That’s my initial thought.

I am considering buying the Vader 5 Pro as it also has keyboard button mapping along with 8 custom map buttons, so as versatile as the G7 Pro. I don't like that as of now the G7 Pro's ABXY if they touch the edges of the housing can creak too which is annoying. And for some reason my G7 pro won't connect to PC via USB any more so cannot update the firmware via the app as via the dongle that only updates the dongle FW not controller.

£88 though, but it does have the stick tension rings which may be useful:

Wired only
(There was a wireless version in the original release info, but this has since been removed)
...but matches the McLaren Orange of my wheelchair:rolleyes:
