There was discussion around them being banned for the pro league for Call of Duty but it was whole lot of nothingness.I've been reading reports of a number of people being banned from Games using the Gamesir line of controllers. Anyone heard much more about that?
I only just learnt about tournament firmwares when I was reading about it.There was discussion around them being banned for the pro league for Call of Duty but it was whole lot of nothingness.
It comes down to the “jitter” setting that Gamesir implemented (and then removed) and then also the ability to use macros. Apex is issuing bans for anyone using the ‘jitter’ filters especially as, for Gamesir, you’ve got to find and use a really old firmware version.
The macro one I do find a little frustrating that it’s even available on a controller like this - but it really is no different to what is available on modern mice, keyboards etc. at this point.
Any tournament or event will mandate tournament firmware is used (which exists on Gamesir, Leadjoy, Void Gaming etc.) so there’s no too many concerns on that.
Yeah, the only controller I regularly use that has it is the Leadjoy Saber Plus. Tournament firmware removes any macros and disables the RC filter (although I think this particular one is a Gamesir problem, not an issue with Leadjoy or Void for their 'RC filters').I only just learnt about tournament firmwares when I was reading about it.
I guess that disables certain functions of the controller to stop any unfair advantages etc?
Interesting! Thanks for the info, it hadn't even crossed my mind really.Yeah, the only controller I regularly use that has it is the Leadjoy Saber Plus. Yeah, I think a lot of it gets blown up because there's a bit of incorrect information floating around - but at the same time it's not great that there has to be tournament firmware. I guess it's the same as tournament firmware for the Wooting keyboards and Razer/Logitech ones to guarantee there's no macros at events. Still, you'd think they'd make all these things without including something that could be deemed as breaking the rules.Interesting! Thanks for the info, it hadn't even crossed my mind really.
You can get clicky facebutton kits for the DS Edge and they're fairly easy to install (40 minute job) - but if you're not overly confident taking a controller apart then I get the appeal of the Scuf controllers.A couple of weeks ago I bought a Scuff Omega for my PS5 (Only for MP FPS games) and so far I'm really liking it. I debated whether to get a Duelsense Edge but I really like the clicky D-pad and face buttons on the Scuff over the standard squishy ones on the Duelsense Edge.
I did opted for the white version so will be interesting to see how it ages.
The only criticism I have of it is that it doesn't feel as nice to the touch as the elite 2.

Interesting! May have to make a purchase of one of these too!
Just saw this on my feed, looks great actually with hall effect sticks. I'm gonna order one as a symmetrical controller for playing PS5 games on PC "soon"
Bargain at £60 from what I can tell.
