Decent game controller?

Ordered a Cyclone 2, my elite has just started getting some stick drift

I've got two, series 1 and 2, both have stick drift on the left stick.

Bought both from the MM, asked specifically if they had any drift, both sellers assured me they didn't. :(

It's pretty inevitable that the old style sticks will get drift eventually.

Will never buy another one of them again, will be curious to see what MS bring out next, if they ever do.

So what's the current best controller that is cloest to Xbox shape? I have an 8bitdo Ultimate 2.4g in purple which I like, but if I hold it too tight, my wrists start hurting. The obvious answer would be "don't hold it so tight", but when playing something like Nine Sols or anything I'm really into, sooner or later I start holding it tighter :p. Never happened when I was using an Xbox controller, so must be the shape.

Don't really care about gyro or anything like that, couple of back buttons and tmr/hall effect sticks and a decent d-pad will do me.

Thanks.

Huh ok cheers maybe I'll have a gander at the cyclone 2 if I fancy a new controller!

Make sure to get the Cyclone 2 model with the charger, it's only a fiver more.

My Cyclone 2 came today. Ordered on the 28th, so 10 days for free delivery. Not bad considering it shipped from China.

Only had a chance to unpack it and sync it and set the dock up and put it on charge, but it feels pretty good. Shape is nicer than the 8bitdo. Dock is a bit wider than the 8bitdo dock, which is a little annoying as it doesn't fit where the 8bitdo one was, so I'll have to find somewhere else for it. Will set up the gamesir software later and give the controller a proper go.

I'm unlikely to use them as I don't play fps on controller, but the manual says for hair trigger mode you have to hold m+l/r for 2 seconds. So I assume you have to switch mode and move the switch on the trigger to restrict the travel? Reviews only mentioned moving the switch, or does moving the switch change the mode as well? Quick edit, after actually playing around and watching a disassembly the switch on the trigger actually changes it to a microswitch. So I guess the hair trigger option when still in hall effect mode is to customise the activation point.

From the website as above guys and found it in Google £39.99, there are some discounts on website to take £5 off extra.

Ooooooh....Hmmm now we are talking lol

Prefer wireless

It's such a great controller, quality is superb; counting the hall effect 2 sticks, and the price, it's miles ahead of the MS Elite controllers, and I have both series 1 and 2 of those.

Why use a controller on a PC? It's like having a sports motorbike, and fitting pedals to it, lol. That being said, the MS one is nice, the snazzy wireless one. You can connect it to your phone and play crappy mobile FPS games on the train coming home from work.

I find a lot of single player games are more intuitive with the controller (Cyberpunk, Ghosts of Tsushima, Days Gone - mostly console ports).

And when I don't want to sit up to my desk with M&K, I'll get on my recliner and play on the big TV - Cyberpunk in 4k, 144hz looks much nicer on a 75" Mini-LED than on my 32" Dell...

Depends on the game- arcade and beat em up - gotta be controller.

Or even with a racing game- much better with controller than keyboard.
