Managed to order the Steam Controller as well! Saw a few people saying there was only stock for 20 minutes but I placed my order at nearly 7.30pm... Wonder if it was availability by region?
Looking forward to it arriving, 6-10 day delivery window too, same as a few on here, so it'll be good to see how different people find it.
The last few days I've been using the G7 Pro 8K and managed to get a good amount of playtime with it.

8k polling is really nice, I actually dropped it down to 4k because 8k felt almost too responsive and was causing me to over correct in close range hip fire.
12 bit rate on thumb sticks is fantastic but again, just a bit too quick for what I'm used to. Swapped to 9 bit and it feels better.
Back paddles are in a fantastic place - although I think they're a little recessed into the controller.
Rear grips are fantastic.
Extra bumpers are in a good spot - but I don't like the extra height on them. I find that because of how I hold a controller I'm also more likely to press them by accident.
Remapping via the GameSir connect app is great, I like the flexibility in the app to tune each part of stick deadzone/curve and it's great that I can remap to a keyboard press. So the 'share' button becoming my Steam 'clip last 60s' keybind is a great addition.
TMR sticks feel good, once tuned they definitely feel nice and snappy. They're definitely more 'loose' than a standard stick but micro adjustments felt so precise with 0 deadzones.

The thumstick layout isn't my favourite, I still prefer the thumbstick layout of a PS style controller, probably as a result of not really playing on Xbox for almost a decade at this point.
The actual thumbsticks are butchering my thumbs compared to a regular PS controller or the Steam Deck analogue sticks. I've legit got a dent in my left thumb...
Stock cable kept causing me dropouts over wired. Never had it before on my DS Edge controller and that cable but critically a few times the G7 would just stop responding and take a second to reconnect. Seemed fine I used my DS Edge cable.
Dpad isn't great. It takes a lot more effort to actually have things register.
I miss the giant touchpad on the DS controller, I'd often reach my thumb over the analogue stick to check scoreboard or map as I use the base of my thumb to move / look and losing that is definitely noticeable.
I don't like that I can't 'copy' a profile in the software and duplicate it. It says you can - but every time it fails to 'paste' the copy. Looked online and on Twitter and it seems to be a pretty common issue.
Overall I do like it, 50/50 on whether I'll keep it though, especially with the Steam Controller arriving. One option I've thought about is swapping the thumbsticks on the G7 to standard PS sticks to see if that helps with the actual 'pain' caused by the stock sticks. The stick layout isn't my favourite either but at least then I'd be using sticks I prefer.
It's hard to argue with the price though. 89.99 for the G7 8K vs. 100 quid more for the DS Edge...
