AAARGH my progress is gone and I can only play the first 2 levels.
 
I wondered why my copy was furiously updating this morning (checked at about 04:40) and couldn't see what they'd done ... too early for the details to be available it seems!

I hope they fix the save issue so I can play this when I get home!!!!
 
There's a note on the steam forums from the developer saying that they are working on a patch to the patch to reverse the problem - it's not permanent - and it should a day or less.

Indeed, i was preloading BC2 and this was undergoing a massive update, thought it was redownloading itself because of the Steam Beta UI, was a nice surprise.
 
I didn't know they were doing this, haven't played this game in a while, currently downloading :cool:

Seems they are working on a fix...

We're excited to release the new Defense Grid update that allows DLC and inclusion of the free Defense Grid: Borderlands map pack for Steam users.

Unfortunately as several of you have found out, an issue got through our testing where after installing the update it appears to the user as if all of their progress through the game has been removed.

Fortunately this is not actually the case, but we need to issue a fix to the update to get access to your game progress.

We're working on that fix right now, and have asked the Steam folks to pull back the update for those who haven't already gotten it yet (which unfortunately also means holding back the Borderlands expansion from you) until we have this issue fixed.

We hope to have the update to the update ready in the next day or so.

Oooo DO WANT. I'll revert to this game again if and when SupCom2 turns out to be a pile of crud come the 5th.
 
More Defense Grid? For free?! And with better leaderboard support?!?

Woohoo! :D :)

Even if the leaderboards are reset, it's just another chance to play through the levels again :)

It amazes me how what I originally dismissed as a fairly simple tower defence game has turned out to be one of my most-played games.
 
Is this update automatic?

Tried the DLC section in propities and was nothing to install.

Not that i will be able to play the levels, having to work my way through it all again like the rest of the people in this thread lol.
