Hasn't this been specifically filmed in 3d though? I seem to recall the PJ has used new techniques etc so it isn't been enhanced post production (or as much) ala other '3d' films.
Oh and McAvoy, really? Martin Freeman doesn't have the build to play a decent Bilbo but the whippet thin James McAvoy does? Strange. Everything I've seen from the trailers etc looks as if Freeman is doing quite a good job. Lastly McAvoy a quaility actor? Wanted called and would like a word
Saw another trailer before Skyfall and I can't wait until this is released, and will be my 1st 3D film experiance. Bring it on.
Saw the trailer before Skyfall yesterday. Looks amazing!
How about we wait and see before throwing around ridiculous statements?

its like the LOTR was in isolation of the hobbit not a direct continuation?
There is quite a sizable gap between the events of The Hobbit & LOTR iirc?
LOL!! I did think it looked a little different to what I was expecting as well!
What i dont get is...if this is a prequel, why in the LOTR trilogy seem to be.. noobs..? They didnt seem very battle competant despite already having gone through a triology of fighting etc...
Also, they never chatted back about it, 'oh man u remember the time we fought that dragon? EPIC. This ring thing will be a steal.'
