is 1.34v what you see in the max column of hwinfo after you run cinebench20 ?
let me give you some better case information to measure against.
if i set my binned and delidded 9900k to 4700 all 8 core boost i can set (equivalent to level 6 llc) 1.15v in the bios and it will pull 1.24v under avx cinebench 20.
package temp is 70c, core temp low 50s with an corsair aio dual rad 240 in standard mode.
6 cores with same setup at 4900 with a voltage bump to 1.175v i see the following:
temp package 77c, core 62c, 1.26v max
i would say that if 1.34v is your max avx voltage i would offer that this is within spec for a 8700k but yeah it’s going to drive some large thermals as silicon lottery is in play.
three options: Sell the 8700k and buy a 8086k (incredible chips imho), accept your fate and run at 4.9 and be happy, gamble with a cooling upgrade. If it were me, i would trade the chip for a 8086k but i suffer some chip fomo.
