Mine also arrived today, ETA was 31st August.
Very, very pleased. Only played Oblivion so far but at 1440x990 with the highest settings in game (HDR but no AA), got 35fps constantly in the dungeons bit.
Have yet to get outside and see how it copes, allthough i hear newer drivers improve performance a little as well.
Mine seems to suffer a tiny bit with the famous grainy screen but its only when you get a white screen like word and drag it over the desktop you can see some little specs, but its nothing major and unoticable in most situations.
Has anyone else experienced songs skipping at all? Apparantly its a well known problem in vista and microsoft are working with dell to fix it:

I turned off audio enhancements and updated wireless and audio drivers and that seemed to do it, but no one thing alone seems to fix it, odd i know.
But other than that fantastic, the battery fits well, it protudes a little due to it being the 9 cell mentioned by the OP.
It responds pretty quickly to everything, and i've even got folder sharing working between Vista and XP so all seems well so far!
It's a better looking laptop in person i find, it is a little bit big and heavy, but the solid feel to the build quality is worth that i feel.
I'll stop rabbiting on now, but overall very very happy.
