Hi there

What configuration do you want and I will make sure something along those lines is setup, also let me know the cost of your configuration from the DELL website so I can undercut it. :)

I second that, it's exactly the same spec I would like.

Got the 163.44 drivers installed witht he modified inf and just re-installed the Bioshock demo through the normal download (not steam) and it worked perfectly.

Had everything on high (which it defaults to anyway) and it ran smoothly. VERY impressive!

Excellent! Thats pretty darn impressive from a laptop!

I'm been a console gamer for the last 2 years but now I'm getting a laptop with a decent GPU, I'm darn tempted to get back into a bit of PC gaming.

Must....resist......Counter......Strike......Source.....

EDIT: Woot! My Vostro just got dispatched today! :D Not bad considering I ordered exactly a week ago. My expected delivery date was 7th September.

Will you be supplying just the 1500 model or all models in the Vostro range? I am looking at buying the 1700 model for my gf

and how good is the graphics card in the vostro? The price looks nice :D

Ripper said its able to play Bioshock at 1280x800 with everything on high. So I'd say thats pretty good for a laptop GPU!

Its able to handle Crysis pretty well from an article I read a while back too.

well ive been playing css on it now for a few days, at the default settings (high but no aa) and during mixes and public on dust2 i am getting most of the time 100fps constant (i max my fps at 100) however i am yet to try it out on a map like inferno. will report back :)

but still loving this laptop for the price. and im getting the vat back ;) so mine overall cost £520

Yer, mine went from pre-production yesterday to dispatched this morning :D
I've actually just ordered one for my sister - went for the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen. I'm a sucker for high res screens - got the WUXGA+ (1920x1200) on my Latitude D810. Most think that far too high for a 15.4"!

I was tempted to go for a higher res display but since I've finished uni, I don't have my desktop littered with a load of windows. Also, my eyes are recovering from being lasered so I want to minimise as much strain as possible on them.

My sister recieved a laptop with a 15.4" 1280x800 screen and I found that more comfortable to use than my current 14.1" 1280x800, especially with how my eyes are at the moment.

Guess its all down to personal preference.

I didn't see the turbo memory option! How much did Dell charge for it? You can get elsewhere for around £20.

It comes with the A/B/G Intel adapter. I think your referring to the draft N adapter, which is not included.

well you were right there was no option for the TM, it was another £10 for the draft N adapter.

still great spec for the money

How well are Battlefield 2 or World of Warcraft likely to run on one of the 1500 models?

If the 1500 can play Bioshock at 1280x800 with everything on high, it would have absolutely no problem with BF2 and WoW. Only thing you might experience is slightly longer load times due to the 5400RPM HD's.
