Just wondering really who used to play the old delta force games :)

Thought we could list what games we played, what teams we were in and our favorite servers etc!

I'll start,

Started on DF2, played for ::CHI under the name Eagle::CHI, with ICU, Huntress, TILT, Mamba etc, also played for -SBS- with rex & andy if anyone remembers them!


Then moved to BHD after a few years, stayed with ::CHI for a while then moved on to .pth - path finders, .se - squad elite, team gb, *ISA* and |TM| Team Muppet :)

Mainly played on *ISA* Arena server with the name VeX or NormanNoob on BHD :)


So, who else played the DF series?? Let's see if we recognise any names etc :)

Aw, nostalgia is settling in :D

DF: Black Hawk Down... Used to be in a clan called Team Muppet, with all the players named after the muppets, funnily enough :p

Sitting out in the hills, miles away, taking them out, one by one... Just can't do that in games nowadays :(

DF2 must have been one of the first games I played online :o remember it being unbelievably fun and the ranking system they had kept me playing for absolutely ages :p After DF2 though I remember playing a little bit of LW but my fondest memories are easily DF2. Never really touched BHD :(
 
Been a looooooooong time since I played a DF game. Actually the last one I played was I think the first one, which if I remember right didn't have any 3d acceleration so it was all software mode only... or I remember having to play it in software mode even though I had a Voodoo.
 
Played 1 and 2, I don't think I played a third, I might have if it had a map with the pyramids and sphinx in. (yup just checked, that was land warrior)

That was before I started playing online though. Only played through the missions. They were still great games though!

I remember on a couple of very hard missions running for ages until the terrain repeated just so I could get an idea of where I could approach from and where I could stay hidden.

Only problem with the games is that they were diabolically bad in close quarters. AI was way too good at that point and you really didn't stand a chance. Just had a look at some screenshots, I remember it looking waay better!
 
hehe spend many a late night online DF2 with friends hiding in the vector grass sniping and annoying a hell of a lot of people.

Those were the days!!!
 
I started of with the original Delta Force and have played all the games along the way. Put so many hours into DF: Land Warrior and BHD, both great online games.
 
I played DF, DF2, DF:LW and BHD. I played in PK and ODA during the BHD years and it was great fun. Then I remember BF2 kinda ****ing all over it and it just withered away into nothingness. Sad because BHD was an epic multiplayer game, the singleplayer was pretty pants but all the user created multiplayer maps and the clans just made it a really good game overall. I even bought a Radeon 9800 Pro because my old Geforce 4 wouldn't play it at full detail.
 
I think its was Black Hawk Down that I played to death in co-op with my mates!!!

I remember an awesome map where you had to storm and hold a large building in some war-torn mexican city and if you could get to the roofline, you got to use a mounted minigun that was just stunning!!!! :D

If someone can confirm this was on BHD then I might go out and get it again!!!! :D

DF1+2 were the first online games I ever played. I didn't play in clans or anything, I would just play public now and then, sometimes with a mate of mine from school who introduced me to it. I remember being amazed that I could play with all these other people lol. I didn't play DF for very long as CS came out soon after and I was hooked on that, but DF was a blast at the time :)
 
I played both DF1 and DF2.

Not sure which one is was but I started a clan called
[h4x] I think it was lol. Used to be on dial up back then and play king of the hill type game mode with a map which had ruins in the middle. Both me and my brother would have the doors open shouting to each other stuff. Was great played it for so many hours. Such a good game.
