Demons Souls PS3

Can anyone who has imported this game confirm how much of the language in game is translated? I'm looking to get a copy on import however if the whole game isn't in English i'll likely wait for the release over here.
 
A guy at work's got the Asian version, Hong Kong specifically, and from what I've seen it has an option to run the game entirely in English. All menus and text fully translated.
 
Thats brilliant.

Been watching a few vids on youtube and some thing such as item names seem to be in foreign characters so it got me concerned. Might just pick it up anyway cause form what I hear its a cracking game.
 
I've heard nothing but good things about this game - tons of people have had it for ages and they all say it's a fantastic experience. Pity it's not out in Europe :(
 
If you played this online with an import copy would the servers be in JP and be laggy?

£41.10 for the Asian version, read a review on eurogamer, sounds gooooood!

Difficult to say, does it run on dedicated servers? If so then it would be Japanese servers (and probably laggy because of it) as the game hasn't been released elsewhere yet. If it's user hosted then you'll probably be able to find a few other people who have imported it.

I've never seen a PS3 game that is region locked in terms of what region servers you can play on. Resistance 2 imported worked with EU servers for example.

I love the Eurogamer review, really gets across the point that things want to kill you :p
 
Yeah it does make it sound good! I might get it and see what its like on/offline. If online is a really good part of it but laggy then I'll sell it on!

Must buy BF1943 first though :D

Yep it's released on 6th Oct in the US, published by Atlus who don't publish over here so hopefully someone else will pick it up for us.

Don't know how true but I've heard the servers are region locked. I'm going to import from the US so hopefully I can play with fellow importers.

According to play asia the us version is region free so i will be getting my dad to mail this over for me.

The game will be region free like all PS3 games, but the servers will be region locked meaning that you won't be able to play it online with anyone who either imports it from Asia or purchased from here (UK) if it ever gets released.

I'm not to bothered about the online side even though it sounds/looks great so I'm happy to import it from the US :)
 
Really in two minds about buying this :(

As I previously said, a shop near me (competitor :() is selling it for £50 (which would likely be the price of the damn thing after shipping fees). Not sure if I can wait until October!
