** der8auer CPU Tools and Accessories **

I think it looks like a great bit of kit and a very good price considering all things .

1. It reduces the chance of destroying your CPU - especially Skylake.
2. Places like SiliconLottery charge you $50 (basically €50) to do it for you and that doesn't include the huge P&P prices going backwards and forwards. And that's for a 1 off - 1 CPU !
3. It can be used repeatedly on numerous CPU's.
4. If you decide to resell on you should recoup a good portion of the initial outlay.

Considering that it could reduce your temps substantially and in a safe, easy and efficient way - I think £60 sounds very good.

I believe Omar was refering to the above quote.

This bit of kit is for the extreme enthusiast who wants to push there CPU to the max. If you are worried about voiding warranty or cause any damage or not confident in your own skills, then it is obvious this kind of mod is not for you. Very simple concept.

When there's a few of these out in the wild, I'll probably buy a used one and sell it on when I'm finished with it.

firstly, that disclaimer is in the product description for the haswell OC frame. a totally seperate product to the delidding tool.

secondly, of course you are going to void the warranty of your cpu by delidding it. that goes without saying, so acting surprised by this information is really very silly.

thirdly, the issue is that Omar said that we aren't actually guaranteeing it to work, referring to a totally unrelated disclaimer about warranty in the OP.
A warning about removing the IHS does not have a single thing to do with this product being guaranteed to work.

I really wish people would read the posts and not just make up what they think I've posted. The delid mate does work, if used correctly, then it is guaranteed to work and not damage anything.

Delidding your CPU will void the warranty. This is a fact and has nothing to do with OcUK Guaranteeing this product will not damage your CPU if used correctly.

Fair enough. could have sworne some of your systems had delidded cpus in them, and some of the binned chips in the clearance section were delidded but I could be wrong.

A bundle would be a good idea I recon, Delid-Die-Mate plus the best performing paste for under and on top of the lid.

thermal grizzly kryo/hydro if using direct contact to the die

if replacing the ihs, i have personally used liquid metal with a lot of success.

I think if someone would buy it for 60 pounds and when that person is done resell it cheaper for example 50 with shipping then another resells it etc and when we get to like 5 pounds it could be forum tool? I have to say it's pretty expensive 60 pounds + 30 for haswell frame. It's almost half price of my cpu 2nd hand

You dont need to buy the haswell frame! Thats just for clamping the pcb and using your cooler on the bare die.

rjk is this a very recent thing ?

Only i have ab overclocked bundle from yourselves and the cpu has been delidded ?

the vice method takes 3 seconds, unless this is for the more fragile skylake then its really asking a lot when skylake is 350+ then additional 60 for delid that's over 400 which is just crazy

the haswell direct die clamp looks decent but then again I highly doubt you will see better temps than with the IHS on and using liquid metal
