i think if a cpu has been used a while like this 3770k then the seal is way harder than brand new or few month old cpu's, this isnt the fisrt older cpu i have done, but it is the oldest. i have done maybe 2 3570k and a 3770k before. Most were 4770k or g3258

For anyone interested in the kind of temps delidding can get you, this is after over 1 hour of BF1, i was hitting way into the 70's before.

7700k @ 5.0 1.35v delidded, fans at 700rpm 480 rad.
