I’ve no doubt there’s a large dose of apathy involved.

Dealing with drugged-up deadbeats is a regular occurrence for cops in some areas. It’s also a common tactic for the career criminal types to fake heart attacks/seizures etc when arrested.

The defence will likely produce a big list of very similar incidents that ended without issue.

factually, has there been a time where it wasn’t the left in the shape of Antifa, BLM causing crime and chaotic scenes. ?
I can’t remember or recall any. I keep hearing about “extreme right” where actually are they. What have they done in the past two years. Absolutely Nothing.

The quicker they clear this Cop the better. Mr Floyd was never a nice guy. Look at his record.

Dunno, the media goes on about "right wing" threats sometimes. But I don't remember the last time a right wing group did something large enough to disrupt the lives of normal people, burn down buildings, beat up random passers by, beat up police, or close off parts of a city. Not in my lifetime.

I think parts the media invented it to try and shift focus, but it's not working.

IIRC it's the number 1 source of domestic terror in the US reported by the FBI (not the media). Just the other week Asian women in Atlanta were massacred.

You might have read about the planned kidnap of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the siege of the capitol building. Just a few that come to mind.

The US gets crazy events happening weekly.

But right wing terrorist groups are a thing in the UK apparently, but I who can name some? Or actually any in all of Europe...

I think they (BBC, etc) are trying to change the fact that when someone says "terrorists", people think Islamic terrorists. Which isn't PC enough for them.

I mean the lone gun murder of Jo Cox comes to mind. Other than we're not as militant a society as our Americans friends. We have had EDL and Britain First harassing Muslims. Prior to that BNP and C18 did similar.

When were they last successful or when was it last thwarted by the security services? Just because they've not been successful doesn't mean they're not still active and trying to commit terrorist offences.

People are being prosecuted for trying to raise support for these groups and being members. That's on the news, indeed there was a story about it yesterday. The fact that they're not able to get to the point of being able to commit a terrorist act is a result of good policing, not lack of ambition. We're just better at prevention.

Yet Islamic hate preachers seem to get off scott free. How is that any different.

People who went abroad to fight for terrorist groups get to play the victim and argue they should be allowed back in to the UK...

Getting OT, but literally 95%+ of UK terror deaths in the last 20 years are due to Islam. The whole "Far-Right everywhere" thing is a counter-narrative to persuade the natives that all sides are just as bad, and not to retaliate.
