mate, they are saying to you that the six numbers he predicts are not owned by the national lottery so he should be able to show them, even if he did it a few seconds before the results came out
<facepalm>

He isnt predicting anything! lol. If he was, then he would be able to show the numbers! Anyway, he needs that reason for the trick to work, otherwise it would be impossible! He isnt going to be able to predict the numbers because the odds are 14 million to 1! lol

But that's the point, it's not impossible... It's just massively, massively improbable. ;)

He explains it. They have the legal right to announce the lottery numbers first.
Part of the illusion without a doubt.

I'm sure it's true that the BBC have a legal right to announce the numbers, doubt there would be anything illegal in predicting them though. Nobody can announce the numbers before they are drawn, so anything before the event is a prediction not an announcement (and if the numbers happen to be correct, it's still not an announcement is it). Do you really think it is illegal to say what you think the numbers might be, regardless of whether it's a draw a year from now or 2 minutes from now? (and regardless of whether or not you turn out to be correct).

They will have had a brain storm session as well thinking what the public will have thought. What ever the majority of people think it is....It wont be...What would be the point

Yes, asif he had recorded it many times before ;)

+1

Perhaps he did record every combination. Thats why there were no audience, not a proper camera crew and he has spent a year on this trick (or so he says)

Also, everybody at home could "predict" the results by thinking of every possible sequence.

I metioned this yesterday.

The thing wiht the horse racing, he sat in a room tossing a coin for about 2 days until he got 20 x heads in a row, or something silly like that.

To do the same with every combination of the lottery results would take a stupid amount of time, plus he would have to look exactly the same in every shot.

Didnt see this the other night but am going to watch the one tonight where he explains it, im sure it is going to repeat what happened :p

The coin toss in the system took him nine hours to film, but to record every possible combination from the National Lottery would take him ~26 years. That would be 26 years of doing nothing but recording different sequences. I think that maybe too extreme for even Derren Brown. ;)

Why couldnt he show us the balls? I know he said hes not allowed to show us because the BBC have the right to show first, but they could go for anyone, they could have been wrong? The draw hadnt taken place, so it was just a 'prediction' - Surely you can show a prediction.

But I guess if he had showed us....it wouldnt of worked hehe ;)

Ye it's same with him being "banned" from buying a lottery ticket... on what grounds? because he thinks he's psychic? lol.

The "I can't say before because BBC have to announce it first" is BS, the rule exists so no other broadcaster can show live coverage of the draw without permission, there's nothing to stop anyone trying to predict the numbers.

All these lies help to create the illusion that he had made a prediction before the draw.

Morning. Speculation this morning fantastic. Lasers, split screens, tiny LED readouts in the balls. I am loving today. Hope you are well.

He mentions the split screen, so possibly not the way he did it? Or just more trickery?

Did anyone actually get 5 or more numbers on Wednesday?

I don't mean just on here, but anyone?

When did prizes get so ****??!?!

I would be devastated if I got 6 balls (5+bonus) and only got £60k!

Thats what I was thinking with such high odds.

As I've said, if this is the answer it's basically egg on his face. What's the trick in that?

Remember David Copperfields amazing flying routine? Yes, we all knew it was wires, but the fun was trying to work out how he could go through hoops and fly around in a box...

But with camera trickery anything is possible, just CGI someone flying around. Or CGI out the wires.

Camera trickery has no place in this sort of act, so I'm having trouble believing he'd resort to it...
