Im not sure its a setup, I think a lot we do is 'programmed/suggested', he seems to understand on how to tap into this, in a powerful way

Wasn't it just revealed that it was a blank cartridge in the gun? (altho apparently that would have still hurt just a tad)

Just watched it as well and still cant believe the girl pressed the button.

What was the choice again press the button and kill the cat or get £500.

tbh I think he only ever uses hypnotism or some variant of it.

The first episode was much more interesting than the second. In the second, I thought that she was just weak, I'd have just played with the cat & waited to get paid.

He does state that he carefully chooses who is in his show, I think its real, but he makes sure that said people are very suggestable

Just watched the show myself. I could understand it if he took her hand and put here in that 'state' he does (like the circus performer), but he never did that with her did he? Just took her back to a naughty moment. Was kinda cool how he had tea and she had juice, then making her write her name as though she was in school. Good stuff.

Not sure about the Russian Roulette show, but his Mind control and live shows are awesome. Can't really believe it's staged when he uses Celebrities half the time. The Robbie Williams one was a bit weird though

Yeah I agree. I'd have done the same, but after 5 mins in a room with Derren Brown we'd probably end up pushing the button too.

Derren could do us all a big favour and take all the former Big Brother housemates and 'suggest to them' that they are not famous and to go back to there 9-5 jobs.

Hard to say for sure but I find it very hard to accept I'm that weak minded. Kill a kitten and lose out 500 quid? Yeah right!
