Some of these are very good, although a few only work as on-screen graphics. You have to bear in mind these will be printed on various materials, and possibly embroided (clothing), so fancy photoshop effects and reflections are pointless (IMO). I would hazard a guess that complex designs = more money to produce as well in some cases.

The simpler ones with flat colours would probably stand a better chance.

(this might have already been mentioned)

Here's my attempt:

And just because it wouldn't be christmas without the OcUK christmas pud:

Hey guys. After seeing this competition thread in my OCUK RSS feed I thought hey I'll give that a go! I've used OCUK for a number of years now and while my logo is by no means great it's worth a try I think. :)

Like quite a few people I decided to go for an italicised serif font. I will probably tweak it some more but I doubt it'll get anywhere as the competition is a lot better than mine. Can't hurt to try though =)

I'm limited by 2 factors in this competition:

1.) No idea how to create EPS files.
2.) The artistic skills of a 3 year old.

It's like being a man stuck in a woman's body: I know what I want to do, but no way of getting it out! :p

Must admit seems dodgy but then as someone pointed out earlier that OC part is extremely close to an existing image used on The OC tv show. throw my hat in with something simple, should be very easy to reproduce on letterheads / t shirts / promo gear

LOVE this, but do a version with the red background inside the C like it is in the original job that he did.

Obviously if you should win you should only get 10% of the prize as the original concept wasn't yours.
