lol, quite the contrary, I was more referring to your womanly psychological skills... introducing yourself as a professional working in a graphics studio, discussing the company branding and so forth, being extra modest saying you're not expecting to win etc, hinting at improving the main web design and even changing the theme, using attractive female model tshirts in a dominantly male forum, posting lots of examples of brand use on random items, using a large number of aesthetically pleasing photoshops to enhance the appeal of your logo, even appealing to spie's enthusiasm for sports cars, maintaining a general but a tiny bit OTT "I love overclockers" attitude, subtley hinting in another "spec me a rig" thread that you don't need to include a graphics card because you'll possibly win this competition... all legitimate things to do, but they are all tiny subtle little things that help your cause, forming a very cunning overall tactic, and your strategy was so well executed and natural that you could simply deny everything, which is definitely what I would do.

Fair play to you though, you have most of the people here convinced (*cough* skippi ), your logo is easy on the eyes and you have sold it to most people here very well

<Sigh> - well all I can say is I've entered one brand design - that's it - as a result I've played around with it and entered a few more potential locations - the only thing I can make any sense of is I had two female models in the original screen grab! I've seen over entrants with women's underwear, Gemma Atkinson etc - thought they were great!

Yes, I've got excited and posted pics as I thought of things or other people mentioned it (bread or forums design as Skippi asked for it) - but so have skippi and nimz (how many logos have they entered?!?) - certainly an overwhelming response, but don't think that's a bad thing!

I've posted far fewer pictures than most of the entrants here, and only one entry - so I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you...

Skippi - you got an email,twitter or im thing? Got a quick idea for one of your logos before the deadline, can't work out how to PM on this!

Not at all offended, not a problem. I like your designs and i like what you have done im not flaming or bashing at all. I think the amount of post with your logo on was overwhelming, i wish you best of luck.

Thought id have a bash

Ok, so i know people will hate me cause this is my first post. But in my defence i'll not win lol. Ive been a long time visitor to the site and forum but this is the first ive been tempted to join. And not just for the comp, just for the fun of it really. Good excuse to have a bash on illustrator.



















Some truely excellent designs have been submitted, ive my own favs. Love the site and the forums, and once again sorry if this being my first post upsets anyone. But ive been visiting here for awhile now, and shall continue to do so. Only now ive registered i might get abit more involved

Final Entry before deadline...

Sort out your kerning on the middle entry and you might be on to something. Classy sans-serif, pretty non-descript, trustworthy, not tacky. You could take it into illustrator, give it a bit of custom type treatment if you feel inspired enough.

Hey guys taking a break from left 4 dead [awesome!] to do a final post. Here are my contributions from earlier in the thread grouped together:

Here are a few developments I produced working from the original concept. I have been following a simple, clean asthetic with no unnecessary gloss or gradients:

I know its not strictly following the brief but I made a couple of monochromatic versions [bar a couple]. They should be versatile enough to match a change in colour scheme:

Here I have shown it on the original black banner, but it would be easy to switch this to white and get a cleaner/fresher looker to the site
plus it could spur future developments of the site design.
