Yes, I agree grouping several cables together will benefit from a more streamlined and tighter outer "casing", but I was referring to when each cable is individually braided - as are mine.

They have been done purely for effect :o

EDIT: just re-read over everything. Yeah, as opposed to conventional braiding, each individual wire being sheathed will restrict airflow. I thought you were referring to the way mine are slightly accentuated and more prominent than most.

And braiding each cable is definitely done because it looks much better compared to grouping everything together and then splaying off at the end in multicoloured stubs of cable. IMO

I'd imagine they are very good! 1 less 120mm fan means less noise too!

I want one but having recently got an Ultra120 I need to know it will make a difference!

Well yes, it is awesome and a bit nerdy - but I don't have a proper desktop anymore. The laptop's being replaced for a shiny new one soon though :D

Keen eyes will also spot other nerdy items, such as MCSE books and a Fallout 3 bobblehead :D
 
I really do like the Enermax Cluster fans. A small wonder why OcUK don't stock them. Unless there's something I'm unaware of about this fact.
