*** Desk and Room Gallery***

Got rid of one of my 26" Samsungs and got another two 22" as I've decided i prefer using the smaller screens for browsing and general use, while keeping the bigger one for gaming and video. I think i might need a new desk and some dvi extensions now though!

do you use all them monitors? i dont see how, i added a second one and i couldnt keep it didnt feel right trying to use my pc.

That desk needs enlarging me thinks. :P

Has anyone on here built their own desk? Any idea on rough cost for the amount of wood I'd need to make an L shaped one that's 8 foot long in one direction and about 4.5/5 foot in the other? :P

Just buy 2-3x small chest of drawers that are about the right desk seating height and buy a sheet of MDF, cut it to the shape you want and then paint it whatever colour you like. If the drawers aren’t high enough just make some feet to go at each side of the drawers – get a bit of storage space too.

I also built a smaller shelf that covers about 1/3 of the depth of the desk and the whole width so I could put my TFT's on.

I brought a 3.2 metre 600mm Deep worktop and 3 legs

Was the outcome of that.

Cost overall about £100

Cheers for the advice guys! I thought the top would probably cost the most. I've been looking on B&Q and Homebase's websites, lots of ideas to think about. :P

I'm not just looking for a desktop, it needs a load of storage as well for my Uni stuff. Got a nice badly built Pine chest of drawers that can be canabalised...

Had a move around of my room the other weekend to see if I could make better use of what space I've got.

Here's what it used to look like ages ago.

I swapped 17" Dell for a wireless dongle with a mate a few months ago and had to shift things about.

I then want to get a nice Amp and speakers.

The shelves are butt ugly and need to go, I just aint got the space in here.

I don't want multiple displays purely because I just know after calibration I'll sit there finding small minute differences!

prefer one big 24"+ :p

I still havn't got around connecting it to my 40" LCD TV :o
